Players leaving for Switzerland today, wonder who has been taken and if there are any triallists invited!

Will be good to hear reports from those who make the trip, hopefully AP is alive and well after a summer break...

Nice that a year after Liebherr rescued us that we're now going out to him :)

I fly out to Basel on Monday, been told it's unlikely I'll be able to get any access to training during the week as the training complex is a "secure compound", which sounds rather sinister

Its a shame they wouldn't let you watch even for just a day, the way of modern football I guess.

Talking in the past tense about something that hasn't happened yet?

The fences cannot be THAT high surely

It's Switzerland.

There are Mountains.

Climb one.

Borrow one of Minty's Telephoto lenses or take Binoculars

Simples.

I assume that was taken today?! If you took it, was Pardew with the players or is he flying out later after finalising a couple more signings?!

Thats the Saints twitter page.

I guess they are keeping us updated with everything.

Was Morgan looking at the footy gossip to see if he was linked anywhere? ;-)

Is that a transvestite sitting behind Morgan and Jose???

Its our new signing, they are trying to throw the echo off trail until the club get a chance to do some proper photo's.

Surely all fans shouldn't be allowed to just turn up to watch training?

Didn't suggest that would be the case - I specifically contacted people I know at the club to see if I could pre-arrange something. Might still be possible, I'll hopefully find out in the next few days once they've got settled in there. No real rush as I won't be there until late on Monday anyway.

From how he has run the club so far it doesn't look like Cortese holds much stock in giving priviledges to those connected with supporters groups/internet message boards so, as you say, I would assume it would be unlikely.

I can't help wondering if any other L1 club is taking their team away for training, team building and practice matches this year!!!!!

Drivers seat is on the left, remember. Look in the mirror.

just wondering... how the bloody hell did someone get that job!? Twittering, taking pictures and hob-nobbing with the first team...

If I knew how do you think I'd be posting this from my work chair??

It's Alan Pardew doing it.

Jordan Sibley looks after the Twitter feed. His official title now is "Club Spokesman", but he is essentially the middleman between the club and the press, "Media Liaison Officer" is probably the most mainstream job title that fits, I guess.

Harumph.

So I go and log on to Twitter for the first time since the skates court case and get told

tough luck clear off Twitter is over capacity.

hell of a lot of interest in our tour it seems

Plymouth Argyle are going to the Netherlands.

Bloody hell, I hope Bradley behaves himself in the flesh pots of Amsterdam.

They wont take kindly to having someone nick their handbag whilst servicing a client ;)

Makes sense, I remember reading his name in quite a few articles since the season ended.

I am frankly horified that Morgan reads the Sun ...I thought he was the thinking mans' French bloke

It could be that his English is still lacking a little. You only need a reading age of 12 to read The Sun.

Anyway, I might do a day trip in the car from Italy and that way I'll save on beer and restaurant and hotel and camping bills, me being on Italian poverty wages and all...

So look out for the Italian plates and Saints sticker!
