Ponty Posted 4 July, 2010 Share Posted 4 July, 2010 We wouldn't even have heard of things like this pre-internet, yet the club would continue to move along and fans would continue to go to the matches. Why are we all so interested in every finite detail nowadays?

They are not interesting individually, but when you add them all together, you get a picture that all is not how we would like/imagine it to be at SFC
ooohTerryHurlock Posted 4 July, 2010 Share Posted 4 July, 2010 Why would he want a full time doctor seems quite strange to me. What does the doctor do +1......... Are we going to haver afull time Vicar as well??
once_bitterne Posted 4 July, 2010 Share Posted 4 July, 2010 Wasn't it Peacy's dad? That was it. Given that he was on here posting about players taking Medicals before their signings was announced it's no surprise that Cortese wanted a change in the clubs doctor. Saint Posted 4 July, 2010 Share Posted 4 July, 2010 I can't make a new thread as I'm not a full member, but I thought this seemed like an appropriate place to post this. Quite an interesting insight from one of the coaches, Nick Harvey. http://www.menshealth.co.uk/Fitness-&-muscle/Train-like-a-pro-footballer/v3
ooohTerryHurlock Posted 4 July, 2010 Share Posted 4 July, 2010 It isn't uncommon in football. Chelsea for example have 2 full time doctors, 1 part-time doctor, three physiotherapists and four masseurs! They also have Drogba who probably needs one doctor full time, 1 part-time doctor, three physiotherapists and four masseurs!!! The other doctor sorts the rest of them out!!! Badger Posted 4 July, 2010 Share Posted 4 July, 2010 +1......... Are we going to haver afull time Vicar as well?? We used to have a club chaplain of course, and I assume still do. Perhaps we will also appoint a full time optician, or 'visual coach' though.(Five years after SCW first mooted it.).
hamster Posted 4 July, 2010 Share Posted 4 July, 2010 This would tie in with the MO rumour perhaps.

The other doctor sorts the rest of them out!!! He would also need the gynaecologist, seeing as he is such a big headed and selfish caaarrnt. Dibden Purlieu Saint Posted 5 July, 2010 Share Posted 5 July, 2010 Sacking people for fun? God some of you cant be pleased can you. Get a life you mong. I wouldn't call him that, I got an infraction for using that word. Pathetic, I know.
hutch Posted 5 July, 2010 Share Posted 5 July, 2010 I would imagine that it's fairly important to have an in-house medical practitioner to vet and approve in advance every prescritption or over the counter medicine that ANY player plans to take, for any illness or ailment. There have been issues in the past with sportsmen "inadvertently" taking banned substances, and failing drugs tests. The sensible conclusion would be that any member of the playing staff must only consult the club doctor on any medical issue, from a sore throat to a broken leg, and only take medication which has been prescribed or approved by the club doctor. OldNick Posted 5 July, 2010 Share Posted 5 July, 2010 well i hope it was not the Dr who told RL that Killer was going to be fit and so we didnt need extra defensive back up, or who couldnt help Marian etc etc. Why having a full time Dr on board is seen as bad,I can't understand

hypochondriac Posted 12 July, 2010 Share Posted 12 July, 2010 I don't agree with you MLT. I would though urge people who really care about this issue to actually seek out Franny and ask his opinion of Cortese and how he came to that conclusion. It is interesting. manji Posted 12 July, 2010 Share Posted 12 July, 2010 Cortese "is an evil sociopath" lol. Unbelievable, some of our "fans " are complete retards. We have recently completed one of most enjoyable seasons for years. We are now in our best close season for years i.e. settled team, signings happening, no disruption and we are looking forward to an exciting and fruitful season ahead. Still some dickheads are stirring the schitt. Who would they rather have in charge ? Freaking Pinnacle ? Marc Fecking Jackson ? Mike Scouser Sodding Wilde ? We are lucky to have Liebherr and Cortese at the helm. So what if they **** off some of the old guard ?
hypochondriac Posted 12 July, 2010 Share Posted 12 July, 2010 It is ridiculous to describe Cortese as evil, I quite agree.
