TopGun Posted 10 August, 2008 Posted 10 August, 2008 So 197 to win. That'll be 100 from KP and hopefully 97 from his colleagues then!
TopGun Posted 11 August, 2008 Posted 11 August, 2008 67/0 currently and going along nicely. Weather is set fair too. What could go wrong?
keithd Posted 11 August, 2008 Posted 11 August, 2008 not a lot i'd say. 106/0, certain victory in a dead rubber
Saint Martini Posted 11 August, 2008 Posted 11 August, 2008 So 197 to win. That'll be 100 from KP and hopefully 97 from his colleagues then! Strauss and Cook look determined not to let that happen.
the stain Posted 11 August, 2008 Posted 11 August, 2008 Well that's that then. I suppose the coaching staff can all take unjustified pride, Strauss can keep a better player out of the team for another year and Pietersen's captaincy can by hyped out of all proportion so that all his future efforts will seem like failures. Hoorah for English sport!

the stain Posted 11 August, 2008 Posted 11 August, 2008 good god. Yeah sorry, it was a bit grumpy. Forgot to add "well done England on a rattling good win!" Perhaps my premonitions will be proved entirely wrong.

stevegrant Posted 12 August, 2008 Posted 12 August, 2008 Good to see the ECB showing a bit of sense on ticket pricing. Day 5 is always cheaper than the preceding 4 days, although I'm not sure why they make it cheaper at the Oval as with that batting track it almost always goes into a 5th day.
