John B Posted 2 July, 2010 Posted 2 July, 2010 About Terror Attacks http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/politics/10488863.stm
Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 2 July, 2010 Posted 2 July, 2010 If I worried about stuff like that I'd never leave the house!
Thedelldays Posted 2 July, 2010 Posted 2 July, 2010 I bet the 2012 Olympics are giving the security services sleepless nights sorting that out
Smirking_Saint Posted 2 July, 2010 Posted 2 July, 2010 No, if they happen they happen, nothing i can do about it, and the whole point of them is to disrupt the way we live
alpine_saint Posted 2 July, 2010 Posted 2 July, 2010 Not really. I reckon Al-Quaeda dont have sufficient infrastructure anymore to go for anything except airplanes with their high possible yield of causalties. I really thought they'd go for the England vs. USA game in SA, and they didnt.

S4INT Posted 8 July, 2010 Posted 8 July, 2010 yes...saying that, nearly every week during the football season is a great oppotunity.. This is why I don't get worried about terrorist attacks - one grenade and £20 = terrible damage if they really wanted to... clearly not as much of a threat as we're lead to believe
Johnny Bognor Posted 8 July, 2010 Posted 8 July, 2010 This is why I don't get worried about terrorist attacks - one grenade and £20 = terrible damage if they really wanted to... clearly not as much of a threat as we're lead to believe Shouldn't that be £20 + £3 booking fee?
Jonnyboy Posted 8 July, 2010 Posted 8 July, 2010 the governments want you to be afraid, justifies all foreign policy
ecuk268 Posted 9 July, 2010 Posted 9 July, 2010 the governments want you to be afraid, justifies all foreign policy And the government is advised by the security services who have to justify the vast amounts of money that they cost. No different to the US forces exaggerating the Soviet threat during the Cold War so that they got lots of shiny toys to play with.
Thedelldays Posted 11 July, 2010 Posted 11 July, 2010 I would be more worried (if we are to be worried) about an agressive russia again..
JackFrost Posted 21 July, 2010 Posted 21 July, 2010 I would be more worried (if we are to be worried) about an agressive russia again.. They'd be no worse than the US.
Thedelldays Posted 22 July, 2010 Posted 22 July, 2010 They'd be no worse than the US. actually..it would..for obvious reasons
SNSUN Posted 23 July, 2010 Posted 23 July, 2010 If I get blown apart by a terrorist bomb, there's not a bloody lot I can do about it. If I worried about terrorists, I'd quit my job at the most bombable place in Britain working for the most bombable transport system in Britain.
Dave Benson Phillips Posted 23 July, 2010 Posted 23 July, 2010 The IRA were more active on the mainland than Bin Ladens lot will ever be able to be. The IRA caused much more risk to national security than Al-Quaeda ever could, and we didn't get our knickers in a twist then. Having said that, the more immigration continues, the higher the threat becomes.
