alpine_saint Posted 6 July, 2010 Author Posted 6 July, 2010 You thought Schneiderlin was too lightweight, are we to assume you have corrected your opinion now? Yep, and I am not embarassed to admit it. I have the impression he proved a lot last season.
Giordano Posted 6 July, 2010 Posted 6 July, 2010 Anybody able to translate this (from Saturday's Italian sports press): Cesena, chiesto Papa Waigo alla Fiorentina. Cesena fans are dreaming of the return of ex-Senegalese striker Papa Waigoffside (previously with them 2005-2007). and are weighing up the possibility of taking him off Fiorentinas' hands seeing as Fiorentina appear to have no intention of keeping him in any way shape or form.
SNSUN Posted 6 July, 2010 Posted 6 July, 2010 Connolly signs http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?23654-Connolly-signs-new-deal Keep him as fit as possible, and this could be our (re-)signing of the summer! No signings since Dickson - I reckon NC and AP were waiting with knowledge for Cardiff to be hit with their transfer embargo before stealing a couple of their assets! I'm still not concerned about the lack of signings, although I will be mightily relieved when we bring in a recognised right back. Yes we need cover at CM and in attack, but as long as that one right back comes in, I won't be too concerned, although the lack of pace in the team still worries me a tad. In two weeks, if we haven't signed anyone, I'll jump on the Alpine bandwagon.
Master Bates Posted 6 July, 2010 Posted 6 July, 2010 According to this one he's a gambler http://ets.freetranslation.com/ Cesena, asked Pope Waigo to the Florentine one. It has been a return in Romagna The tifoseria of the Cesena dreams the return of the Senegalese attaccante N' DiayePapa Waigo. The gambler did a lot well in past with the cloak bianconera (from 2005 to 2007, editor's note) and the of romagna society would be appraising the possibility of to withdraw it from the Florentine one, that has not some intention of to maintain it in organic I do not return in the future plans of the violet.
boxosponge Posted 6 July, 2010 Posted 6 July, 2010 Jérémie Aliadière On a free from Middlesborough and could be a good signing in my opinion
Ball boy Posted 6 July, 2010 Posted 6 July, 2010 I saw AP at the Crazy Bear in Beaconsfield with some luggage on Friday but whether this heralds some business in London or whether he was talking a well deserved break in sunny Bucks I don't know.
K,Billy's supersound Posted 6 July, 2010 Posted 6 July, 2010 On OS Frazer Richardson Arrives striker from charlton i can't start new thread
Judge_B Posted 6 July, 2010 Posted 6 July, 2010 Ooh look, there's a signing! Panic over, for those that were panicking at all?
scotty Posted 6 July, 2010 Posted 6 July, 2010 TBH this legless Llama could do a better job in midfield then wotton Although i question it being a Llama and perhaps a draught excluder and or a massive caterpiller if its a massive Caterpillar, maybe Markus has it in stock
trousers Posted 6 July, 2010 Posted 6 July, 2010 Can we lock this thread now? Can't we wait for the "massive" signing first....?
Saint_clark Posted 6 July, 2010 Posted 6 July, 2010 Can't we wait for the "massive" signing first....? We had no right back, we now have a right back, that shows that the "issues" are being addressed. As the majority of us said they would.
Saint_clark Posted 6 July, 2010 Posted 6 July, 2010 GK - Davis RB - Richardson CB - Fonte CB - Jaidi LB - Harding RM - Puncheon CM - Hammond CM - Schneiderlin LM - Lallana ST - Lambert ST - Barnard Subs; Bialkowski, Seaborne, Dickson, Wotton, Holmes, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Connolly One more central midfielder to replace Wotton on the bench and I honestly think that would be a title winning side.

Definitely need a CM, not just for cover but if we decide to go with 451. Wotton can just about do a cover job but he's clearly not good enough for first team duties on a regular basis. We could do with Antonio back plus another midfielder/attacker and we're at the state of the squad at the back end of last season. Any more than that and we're really laughing.
Saint_clark Posted 6 July, 2010 Posted 6 July, 2010 Basically, sign Antonio and Brian Stock and we will have a pretty awesome squad.

I now know that Cortese reads this board, and as a result am requesting cheerleaders at games please Nicola.
Smirking_Saint Posted 6 July, 2010 Posted 6 July, 2010 ...I had to wait approximately 5 hours! I now know that Cortese reads this board, and as a result am requesting cheerleaders at games please Nicola. Yeah but can we have fit adult ones, not 10 yr olds like last time
alpine_saint Posted 6 July, 2010 Author Posted 6 July, 2010 would like to see cover for Schneiderlin and Antonio back, then I am happy.
Alright Dave Posted 6 July, 2010 Posted 6 July, 2010 would like to see cover for Schneiderlin and Antonio back, then I am happy. Is that a promise ??
alpine_saint Posted 6 July, 2010 Author Posted 6 July, 2010 Is that a promise ?? Well, until the first sh*te no-score-draw midweek in Northern Monkey Land
SNSUN Posted 6 July, 2010 Posted 6 July, 2010 Yeah but can we have fit adult ones, not 10 yr olds like last time Oh absolutely, over 18's only, the less clothing the better. (Just a red sash and some pom poms may be taking it too far though.)
VectisSaint Posted 6 July, 2010 Posted 6 July, 2010 Oh absolutely, over 18's only, the less clothing the better. (Just a red sash and some pom poms may be taking it too far though.) Is it possible to stipulate that they are of the female persuasion as well, or would that be considered sexist?
SNSUN Posted 6 July, 2010 Posted 6 July, 2010 Is it possible to stipulate that they are of the female persuasion as well, or would that be considered sexist? I naturally assumed they would all be women. Why would we want to watch a bunch of men jumping all over the pitch wearing skimpy shorts and sweating? Oh.
Ponty Posted 6 July, 2010 Posted 6 July, 2010 Ok, before this becomes an Alps bashing contest, seeing as how we are apparently signing players after all, I'll lock this one now. Alps, no offence intended by locking it, btw. Feel free to start another one if we haven't got the midfield sorted in a few days or so.
