its an unforgettable read, and the way it holds back on the really nasty stuff until the second half of the book works brilliantly. and the chapters on bland 80s pop stars that follow each really horrible murder are hilarious.

i've not read any of his other books but the film version of 'the rules of attraction' is well worth a watch.

Just re-read it after nearly 2 decades.

What a work of genius it is. A seminal book of late 20th century America.

Am I alone in thinking this?

Superb book.

Awesome novel, a fantastic combination of one of the sickest and hilarious books of all time, some genuine lol moments, graphic sex scenes too. Looking forward to Reading it again when I go on holiday.

Think its brilliant. Remember buying it in a bookshop in Above Bar and chatting up a very fit assistant by discussing feminism vs misogny (I was like 18 at the time and fresh out of 6th form) and whether it was the ultimate feminist book. Got her number as well ;)
