Stanley is quite clearly a troll, hoping his warped view of life gets him attention. This is backed up by all this "Great British stiff upper lip" nonsense.

yes the stiff upper lip when men were closet gays and women were tolerated i bet dune misses those days:lol:

Good, because if you perceived me as normal that'd mean i'd be like the far left posters on here.

Freud would have spent hours studying you and your 'quaint' ways.

Careful Stanley, because you are getting quite close to totally revealing what you were all about before getting banned and then adopting the name of Dune.

Nazi troll.

i think he seems a good candidate for incapacity benefit with his paranoia and fascist tendencies and constant name changes.

The thing is, bless him, dune has never read any history books and therefore doesn't realise the irony of his beliefs. If he was a TRUE Nazi, he would believe that the state should own 'everything' and that there should be limited private business: hence the name "National Socialist"...ah well, more reason to laugh at him I guess!

I have broader knowledge of history than you, of that I am sure. Just because you work as a history teacher doesn't mean you know it all. Perhaps in a few years you'll know more than me.

Why o why am I biting?!? Well I can't reply to this with any certainty but I have a masters degree in history, I'm pretty sure I could mop the floor with someone who's highest academic achievement is a diploma. Talking of which, if you're so good at history, why didn't you pursue that path rather than the diploma? I really do pity you. As TDD suggest above, perhaps they could bring back the 13-19 section of the forum (or whatever the age range was) for dune?

Anyway, after this light relief, back to the topic...

I'm quite sure Stanley loved the way the Nazis dealt with those with mental health issues what with his beliefs that the Nazis were misunderstood.

Says he who labels people with disabilities as "retards" and "mongs". You are a prime example of a hypocrite.

Whereas you are a prime example of a Nazi, racist, troll.

Do you have some hold over the mods? I believe that some know exactly who you are, why you aren't banned is truly amazing!

Give him enough rope Jamie, although, of course, Dune insists he isn't Stanley as Stanley has a lifetime ban for his Nazi supporting views.

Thats odd because when I posted something criticising Stanley, Dune replied claiming "I didnt do that".

one way to weed out the fakers is when they go down to the DSS to make a claim, then they should set off a fake fire alarm in which everyone runs out the office, leaving them there. If they are fake then they'll be up running with you. If they are claming for real then they willll be left there screaming for help. Then they can just come back in and say to them it's alright and don't cry. It's just a test and you have past. Here is your money.

Have to be honest, DSS staff don't run, in fact you'd be hard pushed to figure out if they are actually alive.

IB was used as a tool by both the tories and Labour to move people from JSA as a way of massaging unemployment figures.

JCP employees were encouraged to do so so regions/areas could meet targets.

It should only apply to those in genuine need and not to the work shy, of whom we all want sorted as it crosses political boundaries.

Fair point but JCP employees are generally encouraged to claim they have found people jobs when in fact they did no such thing. That enables targets to be met.........until the Auditors move in and spot what a 5 year old child could spot and cancel all the job entries and even the honest few get tarred by the same brush. Shameful, JCP staff on the whole are selfish, stupid and generally don't have a clue what they are doing. Unfortunately many are considered "untouchable " as to dismiss them is way too expensive.

My first visit to The Lounge for a while. First I read the shambles that was :

Now I'm reading another thread which has gone so far off topic one wonders why it has not been closed as well, different thread, essentially the same old arguments going on and on. Whatever happened to TMS getsmiley.php?show=2816

Back to the sports forum I go, it's been enlightening.

I don't give a monkey's whether the Queen is worth her weight in gold. The principle is wrong. The Monarchy has no place in a democratic society where everyone should be considered equal. The Royal Family make everyone else second class citizens and that is an intolerable position. The old adage is, ah... but you wouldn't want to swap jobs with them. And fat chance anyone is going to get to try it out..! They should go quickly. Pick a palace, get inside, close the doors, and let's hear no more of them. Then we can get on with the business of electing someone from the people, as President. It may well cost more but it will slowly rid the country of its class system and it's old-pals idea of progress, instead of merit. Oh, and we'd get a shot at a decent national anthem, too.

Don't bet on it - It is all about money. Take the mayor of new york for example. Bloomberg spent a fortune to get that job. Not exactly democratic, he was just able to buy more airtime that the other guy.

All good points.

But the monarchy are only the tip of the iceberg, a pin that holds everything together at the top.

Beyond what you suggest we would need real land and financial reform.

High land and property prices need dealing with, so that people aren't in hock with gigantic morgages for tiny houses on all too modest wages.

And the emphasis on tax needs to move towards property,(especially big inherited money) high incomes, and and luxury spending.

I'm a massive fan of the monarchy and British tradition and pomp. Give me the queen over some fake slimeball like Barrack Obama or Jaques Chirac any day of the week.

As I suspected, a forelock tugger.

What makes me laugh is that most people, who are deferential to the Royal Family and the institution of Monarchy, seem to think they are part of some great national heritage, by being a British citizen. Well let me inform you. You are nothing to them. In fact, you are less than nothing. Your opinion means zero. The Royal Family are not in place by your agreement, but there whether you like it or not. And there's not a single thing you can do about it. Whether you are a massive fan or not, is inconsequential. There are 65-70 million people in the UK and they are first in a queue of one, and you are last in a queue of 65-70 million.

On any other subject, you'd be ranting and raving at the hypocrisy and sheer wrongness of the scenario. Do you not get it now..? :D
