Sundance Beast Posted 25 September, 2008 Share Posted 25 September, 2008 I am completely satisfied from reading all the brickbats that you have received after this post. You have your opinions and as far as I can see, it is you who are the one that people are chiding as the supercilious and arrogantly superior being (only in your own mind of course) Read and learn from the wisdom of Rabbie Burn's poem to a Louse (appropriately enough) Oh wad some power the Giftie gie us To see oursels as others see us! It wad frae monie a blunder free us An’ foolish notion I have a much younger and beautiful wife, who smiles often; not that my personal life is any business of yours. Good for you Wes. Was it a case of 'I went on holiday to Thailand and on my way back I packed - a wife'? No one suitable your own age and residing in Southampton who you could charm? Must be your personality I guess. Tell me Wes what is the first thing people think when then see some old bloke walking around town with a lovely Asian wife? Doug and the rest, with respect lets not carried away with comparing Newcastle's home gate for a fixture in a cup that these days has about as much draw as a pre-season friendly. When they can only fill 45% of their ground's capacity for a home league game then we shall draw comparisons about them having less passionate fans than ourselves. You may hate and despise Lowe but its the stay away fans and their narrow minded and self-damaging actions that will take this club into administration. Lowe and Wilde are trying to save it and its the dummy spitting fans who are derailing it. Just get behind the team the alternative is not worth cotemplating and i'm amazed you can't see it or accept it, regardless of your personal views on Lowe/Wilde. Wes, I guess I'm off the Christmas card list.
Sundance Beast Posted 25 September, 2008 Share Posted 25 September, 2008 Or the fans that show how unhappy they are when the team plays absolute turd.... By the way, in order to boo the players those fans have to have turned up. If you pay money to be entertained and don't feel you have been, how else are you going to express your unhappiness? It's not like we can write to the club for a refund is it? How about not claping or leaving silently just before the end. When you go to the cinema or theatre and don't enjoy the film or show you do you boo at the end?! Is supporting a football team - any team - primarily about entertainment or is it in fact something far more meaningful to the fans who have supported their team all their lives? Is it to many supporters more a way of life and to the plastic fan its about entertainment? Is that not why a boring 2-1 win will always take precedence over an exciting 0-0 on MOTD as the armchair fan and occassional plastic wants to be entertained or the dummy comes out and they start bleating. Actually going back to the 'old days' (sorry about that) we used to slow handclap if the necessary effort wasn't being made - much more dignified, I think and gave them a chance to do something about it. Currently people boo at the end if they lose, it doesn't seem to matter whether the team tried or not...

The funny thing is, you try and come on all stentorian, but you're actually about as intimidating as Sam the Eagle. And please, stop telling us how to be good fans, okay? I don't know whether you are Lowe's proxy by appointment or approval-seeking self-appointment. But either way, your attempt to run 'interference' on here like a low-rent version of a Blair-ite 'media monitoring unit' is now way past self-parody. Wes, I guess I'm off the Christmas card list. you still haven't got it have you? We have been and probably will continue to be going through a far worse period than that of Newcastle Uniteds "plight". Our attendances have been diminishing since our stay in the Championship has got longer and performances on the pitch worse. Not to mention that crap that is happening off the pitch. If we were in the premiership, ala Newcastle, we would still see high gates, especially if we had the likes of Owen et al. I would swop our dire situation with that of Newcastles any day of the week. If them or indeed any other club had to go through the 4 + years of **** we have had to endure, i guarantee that their fans would disappear too. Facts - why let them get in the way of opinions? Insults - lets use them to abuse the wife a fellow fan. Bigotry - lets reveal that to the world. The funniest thing is that he only has 3 posts a day ... yet he still manages to get up the nose of so many posters. That takes true skill!! I mean I do have a giggle at Scooby even though he's a skate as he is quite deadpan but Sundance is just consistently offensive and not in a funny way anymore although he had his moments at first. When GM and Alpine get going it's entertaining but at least they can both take some back, Sundance doesn't seem to be able to. I still reckon he's a skate on a wind-up, I just find Scooby funnier. Wes, I guess I'm off the Christmas card list. At work i'm in charge a bloke with a deformed face who went over to Thailand and picked up a wife. You could almost feel sorry for him as he's had a lot of bad luck having his face caved in in a car crash, but he's a right ignorant git who does himself no favours. Since the car crash all this puss dribbles out of his eyes and nose. He got banged up last year for a tax fiddle and apparently the lags told him they'd kick the **** out of him if his nose ran again. Spent the whole two months or whatever with tissue up his nose. Of course this is all totally irrelevent but it just goes to show that foreign brides are with the people they are with because of true love. The fact she left him after 3 years (just after she'd got her passport) is i'm sure a pure coincidence.

You're wasting your breath on him; he's not worth it. It certainly doesn't bother me that when he proves himself incapable of reasoned or intelligent debate, he has to resort to childish name calling or attempted character assasination. A gentleman has a strong ethical and moral code that guides his life and I can only assume that the fact that whenever I am critical of the behaviour of those associated with our club on those grounds, Somedunce has to sneer at me and call me names is indicative of his own lack of those attributes. Snowballs2 Posted 26 September, 2008 Share Posted 26 September, 2008 hello..... hello......... Is there anybody there? hello................. What happened? I thought that black hole machine thingy was broken? Wasn't it Friday today? I'm confused, is this the takeover news thread? Or is it the new on-line school of wit, reapartee and reposte? Just like to know so I can work out whether to check back next Friday or I should enrol for lessons in how to be controversial instead of analytical on the internet If it's the school, do I need to register? or do I just have to say something nice about Thailand? Thanks in advance for your help if anyone is there? Am I all alone here now Help? You wont get a reply till after dark..its ramadan over here
dubai_phil Posted 26 September, 2008 Share Posted 26 September, 2008 You wont get a reply till after dark..its ramadan over here yeah, but I bet they don't force you lot to ONLY work a horrible 6 hour day. Thanks for the update, obviously one poster on here is fasting, it does that to you apparently, especially the non-smoking all day, but in which case it is only fair to respect his beliefs
