Interesting reading your posts as usual tell me do St D and lss still post under different alias's ?

 

I guess we can only speculate about any takeover. I ill see if there are any billionaires in Malta there might be given the amount of big yachts in valleta harbour but no sign of Paul Allen.

 

Talking Football I went and watched Malta V Portugal on Saturday , Only 8 euros to get in , You can drink beer and smoke in the stands, amazing you can take beer into the ground provided there is not a top on the bottle. do you think old rupes would agree to this?

 

Football was dire that night.

More likely those that thought that they were going to take over, finally realising that there's nothing doing and selling up.

Rumour has it they'd love to but can't afford to go to an innernet cafe any more as they're saving the coins down the back of their sofas to come in as DoF & CEO when Beckham comes in as Owner/Player Manager/Academy Director/Chairman and we move our registered head office overseas to Santos in Brazil for tax and historical reasons:-)

 

Noticed the Telegraph Online had a photo of a big yacht on the A12 in it's pictures of the week. Reckon that means it's a dead cert that we're being taken over by one of Essex's finest.

Large Hardon Collider ?? Boasting again eh.Though to get those 4 wives I suppose a large hardon collider would be a plus.

Well there haven't actually been any collisions yet so don't know why you're all worrying.Just a beam of protons being coaxed round the circuit at reduced speed, nowhere near the 11000x27 km/sec needed to do anything interesting.

At least there were no beer bottles left in the proton path this time.

He did say sometime ago that he was taking a break from posting on here, due to some of the muck that was being thrown at certain posters including himself,ref takeover talk.

Fitzhugh Fella is as sound as a pound. That red and white blood courses strongly through his veins, more so than most of us. He did, maybe still does, have the ear of some important players on the money side. He spoke out only when he was either:

 

1. Given the OK to or

2. His conscience would not let him remain silent

 

I feel that he was let down and, given all the crap that had gone on previously, people, wrongly in my opinion, placed him in the same category as those who had spouted crap on those other occasions.

 

I believe that rather then stand his ground, which he is well able to do, he has taken a semi - retirement, rather than further embroil us all on here in further accusations and counter accusations.

 

This temporary loss is felt by me because we no longer have the club historian to help us with queries and puzzles about our team.

 

I strongly hope that he will return to 'grace us with his presence'.

He was being used as a pawn, and wasn't smart enough to figure it out by himself. Ultimately his insider insights were politically motivated and turned out to be rubbish.

 

He has to take responsibility for this, it was him who decided to post it, not anyone else.

 

FWIW I believe he is a great bloke, committed Saints fan but just got in out of his depth and has sensibility retired for a while.

Idiots like Sundance/Scooby reduce the board to a farce, but the club historian no longer feels that he can post. Very sad for this board in my opinion

A lot of what he was told is the same as I have heard and I believe to be on going

So what he has said could still come true !!

Duncan is red and white through and through and both an honest and decent guy

The work he does as club historian is beyond the call of duty

He also posts so as everyone knows who he is he does not hide behind a keyboard

This site needs people like Duncan who has had first hand experience as to how Lowe operates !!

I'd prefer it if he still posted to be honest. He was obviously being fed rubbish but at least with Fitzhugh you got honest posts, he said what he heard and gave an idea of the source.

 

Everyone hears all sorts of rumours and this is the best place to say what you've heard, it's all the cloak and dagger pretending to be ITK crap which ruins it. When there is no hidden agenda or attention seeking you don't mind if it doesn't turnout to be true.

He was not being used. He was gathering information (I was getting the same from other sources) and letting the forum know what he could. There was much more he did not say and probably never will.

 

Not smart enough. As I say you do not know him or his background. If you did you would find he is quite a smart and quietly intelligent individual.

 

Politically motivated. Well he had a bad run in with Lowe and dislikes him. Nothing wrong with that as he has always been open about that.

 

Out of his depth. You need to know all of the above to make such judgement.

 

You are entitled to your opinion......I just think you are wide of the mark :)

 

Duncan is alive and well, is in touch with this forum and I am in contact by email and mobile on a pretty regular basis.

I have had my run ins with Duncan but know he is honourable. IMO he only posts info because he cares and wants to share with us so we can also have hope that things will indeed get better.

Personally I believe he takes his run in with RL too seriously but we are all different.

I also have had email contact with him and he was truly helpful in putting me in the right direction regarding some info I needed for here. He said he was stepping back for a time but gave me the impression he would come back on and bring his own style of posting back onto the forum.The sooner the better I say.

This is just wrong. We know who Duncan is - who are you?

 

There is a lot of information and rumour out there and if (or when depending on your inclination) it all is accepted as having finally run its course then the facts will come out.

 

Duncan is only guilty of goodwill and information sharing for which, personally, I am grateful.

What is more he only EVER posted with caveats saying it was what he was being TOLD, unlike the early incarnations of the ITK's who posted as if it was THEM doing the takeovers.

 

Being used as a pawn is plain wrong, he never posted as an angle, only what he was told. Everyone on here would have blasted him IF he acted as a censor or an analyst on what he was told.

 

It's a bit like saying that News at Ten or the Press are pawns for reporting stories or eye witness accounts orf events

 

Duncan said he didn't expect to be around because of the row he had had on the phone with Rupert and he has kept his word.

I dont understand that comment Phil.My understanding is that the club still have him as the historian and RL or whoever has tried amke bygones be bygones.Only Duncan knows if that is the case now. I truly hope that RL has come back and tried to open a new page.LM and LC go to SMS still and LM still going is a surprise. Im delighted that is the case as in time perhaps all the old wounds will become faint scars.Too much to hope, but you never know

Just to reiterate what has already been said about Duncan, the guy is Red & White thru' and thru'. I always found his posts regarding the possible takeovers as very informative and they appeared to be shared with us in good faith with no hint of personal gain or ITK glory hunting. I will join the others here in encouraging Duncan back 'on board'.
