There was nothing wrong with Bellemoor's English teachers when I was there! Very good teachers imho. Gone down the pan since we left though! shame!

I left in 1973 to move to Hounsdown (the only bonus was it was a mixed school.)

Not Bellemoor and Hounsdown Grammer school where English was taught as the second language

Did you have Mrs Upton as a teacher? Think in RE, she looked a bit like a Frank?

Name rings a bell, but I was only there about a year before I was pulled away from my mates and thrown into a new school. Mr Broomfield Mr Holt I remember the former was a scary git that nearly ran me over (my fault) who did Technical drawing.

You are correct with your wording Roswell.

I have heard one or two snippets and that has given me reason to be more optimistic.

Nothing is guaranteed, and if nothing happens by next wednesday I would think its never going to.

It's Wednesday:rolleyes:

Well there you go then, its wednesday. I am almost happpy it hasnt because the takeover would disrupt our experiment with the youth.

I think we may have to wait till the transfer window closes before this whole takeover thing is put to bed for a while at least. (plus I want to be the first on the new forum to start a thread that gets over 30,000 hits ;))

The experiment with youth would be a lot more enjoyable if the thought of losing them all in the January transfer window wasn't hanging over our heads.

That is going to be the case for years unless the fans come back. At present Lallana would be the one who I fear will be targetted. The good thing about them being youngsters is that many of the PL teams wont be3 interested for a while. They are looking for foreign players in the main, and while the kids are bing played they are not frustrated by not playing.

And why should that happen, Premiership clubs seem to e totally ignoring young British talent in their foolish pursuit of names from Brazil,Russia and Spain.

Just can't understand this premier league folly that will eventually lead to

a "big" club going under, take your pick, Tottenham,Skate or Man City, they're paying tens of millions for overated garbage every other week.

Well placed sources inform me that things are not quite as rosy at Fratton Park as they could be. Finance is drying up big time.:p

Two wins, no Fulthorpe fantasy football takeover and Pompey going down the pan. What a cracking week this is turning out to be.

We've spoken about a takeover, about schools, how's about a bus that's due to be unveiled at 3pm today?

You went to the unveiling of a bus and it was good?? :smt102

He's got a big black book of bus engine and chassis numbers. I think I've regularly seen MB sitting on the end of platforms 2&3 too..

P.S. Saint Robbie can this post be counted toward support for a takeover??

Do you know, unless Paul Allen renews his interest;-), I'm inclined to agree with this.

Too right. I want nothing more than have to continually sell players to keep our heads above water. Why would we want substantial investment into the club. Just think how much worse off we would be.

You are right when you say the thread should be closed, and that we shouldn't worry about a takeover. We have no control over something that probably won't happen anyway.

That is still very true, we are desperate for investment or we have to sell. But it also looks odds on that the Fulthorpe just does not have the money. And if it came down to increasing our borrowing, just so they can steer us from trouble with Alan Shearer? I would prefer our current situation, even knowing how precarious it is.

The only thing Fulthorpe could do is to get us on the cheap if the wheels fall off, if he really wanted to help he could tie in with Lowe and Wilde and really do some good. The fact that certain wind chimes have gone silent and are even attending away games, makes me believe there is a further tie in.

Friends in the media are trying to substantiate rumours that daddy Gaydamak's bank accounts have been frozen in Israel and other countries.

Has joined Asturius as a director.

And the band on the titanic played on whilst the boat sank. To be honest until they roll up at the gates of SMS with a wheelbarrow full of dosh I could not care less who is a director of Asturius.

(and I think its just his 'particulars' that have been added not that he has joined the board as I thought he was on all the asturiusi's already)

This thread or the trickle feed of 'snippets' that 'something big this way comes'?

Clearly they are wanting me for my extensive football knowledge to spend the £20m, £50m or was it £500m they have available.

I think they were hoping you would stump up the £20m, £50m or possibly as much as £500m to get things moving. I hope you havent spent it all on a mini break.
