High Pitched Whine From My Wireless Router!

I've a netgear cable wireless router and it's developed a really high pitched whine, worse than Dune, that my nipper and I can hear but the girls can't.

My speed has dropped to 18mps and I can't connect my PS3 to the PS network.

Is there anything I can do to fix it or is it a case of binning it and buying a Belkin?

ta muchly.

as there are virtually no moving parts in the router its probably an electrical part dying. you could try opening it up and seeing if you can spot something but its unlikely to be something you can fix easily. Get a Buffalo router - I swear by them

Sounds like the capacitors are giving up! Time to replace with a nice Wirelees N router. Linksys, Netgear or whoever. Move-on ;)
