St Landrew Posted 23 June, 2010 Posted 23 June, 2010 Nope, don't worry. The institution lives on, hale and hearty. I just wondered whether I was the first one to discover his online comedy, or second, an alsoran or last. Here's a link: http://www.bbc.co.uk/comedy/clips/p0057y3n I know some people don't get him. I'm not sure he does himself. I often find him hilarious and a bit of a joy, because he truly is on the edge of a precipiece of ham-acting/humour/whatever. In truth, when he disciplines himself, he's a half decent classic actor too.
LVSaint Posted 23 June, 2010 Posted 23 June, 2010 He's fine in some 'mad shouty bastard' roles like the king in Blackadder, but more often just comes across as painful to listen to....as in the clip above. His interaction with Paul and Ian on HIGNFY was excellent though...
Ponty Posted 23 June, 2010 Posted 23 June, 2010 I like his performance on that dubious Japanese unicycle show on a Sunday (?) morning.
St Landrew Posted 23 June, 2010 Author Posted 23 June, 2010 Embedding is back..! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zZl3BDtT5cA

Matthew Le God Posted 23 June, 2010 Posted 23 June, 2010 He has got louder with age! Any Brian Blessed thread isn't complete unless this classic line is posted!
St Landrew Posted 23 June, 2010 Author Posted 23 June, 2010 Oh dear. I can see embedding being disabled at this rate.
harvey Posted 23 June, 2010 Posted 23 June, 2010 I liked watching him in 'Arthur Of The Brittons'............that was in the 70's and he shouted then too.
