I'd expect to see one of Wayne Thomas or Graeme Murty back with us before the start of the season as cover at right back.

Thomas is too expensive for what he offers (in terms of the injury risk), so he won't be back unless he takes a massive pay cut - we're talking 50% or more, I suspect. As a result, he'll probably get a contract with a Championship side, Barnsley and Norwich were in for him a while ago, not sure what's happening now though.

just interested that's all!

I thought Gillette would have found a home by now but it's still early days I suppose

He's the best a man could get so I'm waiting for a top side to sign him.

Meanwhile, James has been on trial with Colchester.

Any news on where our released players are headed next season? (club wise!)

The easiest way to work it out is to watch Sky Sports News on Saturday 7th August. All the goalscorers for other teams will be ex-Saints players.

Very interesting indeed. Forgot he stood in for Stock when injured and we were looking at Stock (still are?). Looks like he impressed as now Gillet is stepping up a league, but possibly to warm the bench?

We were playing Oldham away when Gillett made his debut for Donkey. Was driving back down to Lincoln and ended up listening to their post match radio show. They seemed pretty impressed with Gillett and there were a couple of phone ins praising him. If BWP can move up a League like he did last summer, I'm sure Gillettt can.

Since it was a mutual agreement to cancel his contract, presume Molyneux will sign for Vale where he was on loan at the end of the season ?

He didn't play a single minute of football with Vale though, was on the bench once or twice but thats it. I expect him to turn up at a BSP team.

Tom Dunford had offers at two league 1 teams but has taken up a place at an American College program

He turned down Yeovil as they're not big enough according to a couple of Islanders in the know

Why does Wayne Thomas choose to live in Stoke???

He comes from Gloucester and his last 2 clubs have been Saints and Burnley - both nowhere near Stoke!! I mean ...Stoke is almost the Portsmouth of the midlands.

You don't have to live IN Stoke to play for Stoke. South Cheshire is one of the nicest places to live in the UK, From Buxton to Alderly Edge, all very nice and just up the M6 from Stoke.

You get a great Balti in stoke!

That will be Michael Poke's first goal then I presume.

Rumours circulating that Wayne Thomas may be offered a 1 year deal here by AP as cover for CB/RB.

Can't believe that's true myself, unless WT is having a hard time finding a club, as we all know that he needs the regular income to provide care for his severely disabled son.

Can't see it being true as Thomo wanted to move up north and had been using Stokes facilities to keep up fitness whilst hunting for a new club.

Interesting that Thomson, Poke, Gillett, Lancashire & now James have all been picked up pretty quickly. All good young pros but not quite at the standard that WE expect.

He is on trial at Doncaster Rovers. He played for them last night.
