Saint_clark Posted 22 June, 2010 Share Posted 22 June, 2010 I thought Cisse had been sent off for high boot at first, it looked ridiculous. France are such a joke. That Domenech is a c*nt of the highest order. Hopefully South Africa will go through here, but unlikely. Really happy for Platini anyway.

SuperMikey Posted 22 June, 2010 Share Posted 22 June, 2010 So, Mexico and Uruguay through, interesting! I thought Mexico would go through but put France down for group winners, i'm sure many others did too. A team of world class players like Mexes, Evra, Anelka, Henry and Ribery should be competing for a spot in the final, not going out in the group stages... Window Cleaner Posted 22 June, 2010 Share Posted 22 June, 2010 Did you notice that the French didn't all have the same shirt? Some had those which looked as if they're wearing some sort of black harness and some just had the same shirt but without that mark . I'm sure that must be against some rule or other. Anyway they should never have gone to the WC with Domenech, no matter how much it cost to buy him out last year they should have just coughed up and had done with it. Any bloke who thinks that Abidal (a left back) is a better central defender than Mexes is just plain loony bin mad.

dubai_phil Posted 22 June, 2010 Share Posted 22 June, 2010 I just wish to take this opportunity to Thank the French football team for saying to the French Nation what I wanted to say to the French fookers that took over my happy multi-national and would have done if I hadn't wanted to get the redundancy. Feck you, you French fecks The movie version of SA 2010 will now become my second favourite movie behind Bruce Willis's Armageddon (where Paris gets zapped) Serves you right you CHEATS. positivepete Posted 23 June, 2010 Share Posted 23 June, 2010 Arrived in Cape Town yesterday and went down to the waterfront to watch the game. Stood in the fan zone next to Brian Hunt and his wife! We were sporting our new Saints/England gear, and Mrs Hunt spotted our shirts and called us over to share a space near them! They had dinner with Terry Paine a few nights earlier. What a lovely couple. A great afternoon.
hutch Posted 23 June, 2010 Share Posted 23 June, 2010 So the Hosts are out. I know I'm a bit biased, but I don't think they disgraced themselves. A couple of class touches short of going through. They very nearly beat Mehico when they hit the post in the second half. They performed better than many, me included, expected. They put France out. If they'd done a "North Korea" last night France would still have gone through. Well done Bafana Bafana.
