EastleighSoulBoy Posted 28 September, 2008 Posted 28 September, 2008 Something I've always wondered, why are this pub and Botley's Brewery Bar referred to, by a lot of locals, as 'Bewery' e.g. Bitterne Bewery and Bewery Bar. Is it just lazy pronunciation? Sorry for being pedantic!
equalizer Posted 28 September, 2008 Posted 28 September, 2008 Perhaps many moons ago they did brew and sell their own beer before they were gobbled up by the big breweries? Anyway I thought the Bitterne one was called the Happy Cheese or something like that now?
