Smirking_Saint Posted 20 June, 2010 Share Posted 20 June, 2010 All a ton of b*llocks TBH, it is not really his named 11 as they are more or less the same england 11 that tore croatia a new ars*hole a while back and pretty much the same team that was fantastic through qualification. I blame the players, i don't understand how Lampard and Rooney can have any over hyped self belief when i have seen nothing from neither of them to suggest they deserve any such status. Rooney as good as Messi ? Yeah, he is a great player but IMO you are only as good as your last game, and Rooney must have miss conrolled ball after ball. I don't understand either why.... as England... we try and play this continental style of football, its just not us, the premiership is as that German tw*t said, kick and run, quick tempo, counter attacking stuff, we have not the players to play nice tidy passing. As for John Terry 'If i need to talk about tactics ill tell him (capello) tonight' F*ck off you cheating big headed tw*t your not even captain any more. All that said, drop the players not performing, if we have to drop Rooney and Lampard do it. I'd like to see Green Johnson Dawson Terry Cole Lennon Gerrard Barry Cole Rooney Crouch

mack rill Posted 20 June, 2010 Share Posted 20 June, 2010 Smirking saint, You say (Drop the players who don't perform) Then name two in your starting 11? This next game is all or nothing, Crouch and the Mucky Midget up front Hart or James in goal, Midfield and defense Yer i would like to see that. .comsaint Posted 21 June, 2010 Share Posted 21 June, 2010 'kin hell Capello - it's not rocket science ffs. "I'm going to pick form players...". Yeah - course you are. "The first names on my team sheet are going to be players I dare not drop no matter how sh1t they're playing at the moment" more like. He's scared to death of dropping big-name charlie's for fear of the backlash. The team we need on wednesday is this: JAMES JOHNSON TERRY DAWSON A.COLE LENNON BARRY GERRARD J.COLE CROUCH DEFOE Drop the out-of-sorts Rooney for this game & the pizz-poor Lampard who's done nothing in 180 minutes of football so far. And if I see the names SWP or Heskey in the starting line up - I will fookin' SCREEEEEEAM!!!!

I thonk that is what the players delegation was about, just to make sure that Capello undertands 'how it works around here'. 'See what 'appened to the French geezer Gaffer?" "Nasty business that, press reckon the players didn't see eye to eye with 'im. If ya get my drift Gaffer" I particularly liked JT's handling of the Captaincy subject too. wtf does he think he is ffs? Just go and play football fcs, I don;t want to see your stupid face being interviewed again until you are arriving back at Heathrow, Trophy or not, please... And if I see the names SWP or Heskey in the starting line up - I will fookin' SCREEEEEEAM!!!! That's exactly the team I would pick, I was literally tearing my hair out v Algeria as each substitution was made an no sign of Joe Cole who surely, Rooney aside, is the one player we have with the ability to do the unexpected. As for Rooney am I the only one who is convinced he is suffering a reaction to carrying Man Utd for the whole of last season and/or not fully fit anyway ( for pretty much the same reason and playing when blatantly carrying an injury) ? Either way one thing he gives is 100% but even that seems lacking. We needed a fully fit and reasonably fresh Rooney in this WC, typically a Scottish manager ensured we haven't got one. Then you look at the team above and see FOUR Tottenham players and though it's through gritted teeth you have to say Redknapp must be doing something right, I doubt if asked he'd have recommended picking the injury prone King though. Back to Joe Cole and you have one player who is fit, fresh and surely raring to play and where is he ? Nowhere to be seen. No doubting that Capello did a very good job in ensuring we qualified with ease but he must surely realise the system that worked so well in qualifying isn't working now. Surely the injury to Joe Cole which really exposed our weakness on the left side of midfield and hence why Gerrard play on the left emphasised what an important player he is but heaven forbid he should line up on the left in partnership with his namesake and Chelsea team mate. Sven proved you win nothing by being faint hearted, if we fall into that trap again then more fool Capello. There is little doubt we aren't going to win this WC but at least let's see a team that is able to give it a damn good go.

hutch Posted 21 June, 2010 Share Posted 21 June, 2010 The whole Rooney/Heskey/Crouch debate is pointless. Rooney is just frustrated, that's why he keeps dropping further and further back during each game. If we played Rooney, Crouch, Heskey, Drogba AND Torres we won't score. It's the supply chain. Either fix Lennon's fear or replace him. Put Joe Cole on the other side. And let Defoe run his socks off around the box. Get the ball into the box. Apart from goals, there are penalties to be had with the inexperienced officials there. And 2 requests for Capello: Tell the players who's in the team as soon as you decide, and If it's not working, change it after 20 minutes, not 60. Meh, Green made a mistake, thats fair enough, the danger with dropping him is that it now makes every player on the team fear making a mistake of any sort and so will put pressure on their performance. As for Rooney, if he starts performing then we will be in a much better position so put a rocket up his ars* by saying you have 45 minutes to prove to me you deserve a starting place. IMO anyways, and thats if Rooney is actually fit, which watching him i am not 100% sure
