Could be bad for England, if The Hun finish second in their group. Of course, they might not qualify at all, Ghana are no mugs.

To be fair, Mick is right the referee is disgrace, he is booking people for fun. Also, not a big fan of giving a free kick for the overhead kick as well!! Fair play to Serbia for realising the German weakness, the RB!!

This is one of the worst refereeing performances I have seen in years. He is clueless. Some people think the refs from the African/Asian confederations are bad but this guy is Spanish and the worst of the lot

 

6 yellow cards and 1 red in 45 mins.

That may well be, but Pearce and Mick seem to have some belief that German have a divine right to win this game and be treated better than the Serbs by the ref.

if the germans lose this and ghana beat the aussies...you will have to assume serbia beat the assuies....germany v Ghana will be interesting

One of the worst refereeing performances i've seen in a long time - and that includes all of Saints' games this season!

I hope the Germans lodge an official complaint because that's not the standard of refereeing that there should be at the World Cup.

League One, maybe. World Cup, no.

Couldn't agree more, i suspect that the referee hopes they don't make it through to eventually play his country.

 

You couldn't have a bigger contrast as giant killers than Mexico and Serbia, Mexico were so exciting and fully deserved their win, whereas Serbia are so sh*te and boring that they almost threw it away even with the extra man and the referee having made sure that the Germans coudn't touch any of their players without being sent off.

 

I don't understand why some people dislike the Germans so much and yet support the Irish, Welsh or Scots when they play? I've never heard Boris Becker say that he would support whoever England played against, like that fuzzy haired f*ck wit Murray has, or heard the same from any Germans unlike the Irish, Welsh or Scots. Yes we have had our differences with the Germans politically in the past, but in my experience the Germans have left that in the past and actually respect and like the English now.

Have to agree... but hey the war only finished 65 years ago so its still fresh in the memory of the imbecille.

 

No worries about good banter as they have done for us a few times on the football pitch and as one of Europes leading nations we should be seeing them as proper rivals, but when it comes to watching other teams, I just want to see good football, attacking play, no feck wit refs and the French loose... ;-)

 

No seriously, the germans lost group games in 82 to Algeria and 86 to Denmark I think and on both occasions still amde the final, so would discount them yet - thing is this time they are a young side and that showed when their heads dropped after the penalty miss.... Euros 2012 will be interesting for them.

 

Ref was crap and spoilt it... Serbs were their usual dogged self, but hardly entertained.
