St Landrew Posted 17 June, 2010 Share Posted 17 June, 2010 In a sport dominated by Welsh stars, he was one of England's Rugby Union players, during the 1970's, who got me interested in the egg shaped ball sport. A powerhouse of a player, who sadly died from prostate cancer, after being an ambassador for awareness of the disease. Which reminds me, must book that check-up. RIP. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/rugby_union/8746884.stm
Ziggy Posted 18 June, 2010 Share Posted 18 June, 2010 Yes I remember him as a great player. I grew up in Wales during the 70s where we rightly thought we were the superior players but he always stood out as a more than worthy opponent. RIP.
