I go to a lot of away games but because of the distance I do not go to many home games at all. I am a little concerned that we are going to have a really good season and away tickets are going to be hard to get hold of. Do you think there will be away season tickets, or any way where I can get away tickets as a priority?

I just think from a personal point of view it is not worth me getting a season ticket for home games when I will probably only go to 3 maybe 4 home games, but go to 15 or so away games!

Cheers

Probably not, although it would be good if they offered an installment plan for away games.

My kids are already going without food until Christmas due to the home season ticket issues. I'm not sure if they'll survive a whole season.

In fact, if they don't I'm going to have a tantrum and throw my toys out of the pram.

I think they will be fine as I can see us winning plenty of games next season, and that will keep them interested. My youngest is now old enough to start going to football so will be going to away games as a family of 4 from Cambridge. I cannot wait for the new season.

They used to have an installment plan. It was called an 'Away Season Ticket' . They would debit the cost of the ticket 1 week prior to each game.

They won't have one this year because of the 'administration costs' and the fact they won't make any money from away tickets.

Edit: What a great idea that would be for home tickets if they are so worried about defaulters and want to maximise revenue. Have a season ticket which you pay for on a match by match basis but get all the perks of a season ticket ( priority for away games etc ) ... maybe just let them off the booking fee.

If the persons payment declines at any point of the season they simply don't send the match ticket out and the customers season ticket benefits are sacrificed.

No risk of defaulters to the club, they get the full ticket price ( which is what they want ) and the customer gets the benefits of a season ticket and not paying for it all this month.

Yet another option which is better than nothing,

I should run SFC

I must admit I'm in a similar place to the OP but even in the good times I have never really stuggled to get away tickets even in the slightly better times, I think its just a case of generally getting in early enough, I think for the majority of games you will be fine though some of the games will be a little trickier to get hold of.

Brighton, Brentford and Bournemouth won't reach 'Members' sale, all others should though.

Brighton tickets will be one of the main ones I am after over the Easter weekend, and when they are in their new stadium next season we will not be in the same league!!

They will probably make season ticket holders send an application in writing and then fill the allocation with the STH's who have been to the most away games like they did with Brighton last season.
