Old shirts?

As an avid collector of Saints shirts I recently got hold of two. Can anyone verify IF they are/were Southampton shirts and the era. Any help would be appreciated. Apologies for the awful Photos.

I think those are pics of the 2011/12 season home kit, they must have leaked out! Note no sponsor again

I'm not sure we ever played without a club crest on the shirt.

They played without a crest of course. These should predate the 70's

Even the pre 1900's shirts had a crest of sorts.

I'm sure I've seen older kits than that with crests on but the evidence there suggests otherwise, so I'll shut the eff up.

Fairly certain these date from the 60's...and I'm fairly confident they were worn by Saints players in a game. League or other.

I'm near certain I have two Terry Paine shirts and I'm sure the number 7 shirt of these I have was worn by him.

Terry Paine & John Sydenham Circa 1962/65 , Definately did not have a team crest on them.

The West Quay store has a load of retro kits in. They only make them in Medium and above though. Absolute joke. Would have bought the 1982 Air Florida shirt.

They look like the shirts worn late 60's /early 70's. Probably Paine and TommyTommyJenkinsonthewing. Onthewing.

these shirts were worn between 1970 and 1973

 

pre 1970 the shirts had a white background on the numbers, between 70 and 72 they did not and used these shirts.

 

after 1973 the shirts changed and had collors and then shortly after a saints crest was added.

 

The number 7 was worn by

 

mainly terry paine all the time

 

bobby stokes

 

 

and o brian

 

thompson and o neil once or twice

 

the number 11

 

was worn by all the above and various others.
