3:50 | 5 Rite Of Passage (P J Smullen, 20-1 ); 7 Age Of Aquarius (J P Murtagh, 8-1 )

Not bad if i do say so myself.....

Excellent tipping, had a few quid on Rite of Passage myself and mentioned in my writeup so quite pleased, bookies I think will be a little happier today.

Friday

Togiak e/w 3:05 (no good reason other than rank outsider and Moore in the saddle)

Tabassum 3:50

Kindom of Fife e/w in the 4:25

Nasri in the 5:35 (asked my mate to pick a number between 1 and 30 for the 5:35, he chose 14 which was this horse, quite a tip eh)

All a bit meh

Day 3 and this looks the hardest yet....so keeping stakes nice and small.

2.30 Zebedee hasnt looked the most straightforward of rides, but for Hannon to saddle just one in this race when he could surely have had a few must be a sign in itself, he won on his debut as expected then won an easy race over this course and distance last time, lets hope he continues his unbeaten run.

3.05 Pipette ran a cracker behind eventual Oaks winner Snow Fairy last time and in a line through that horse he has the beating of 4 of todays opponents, hopefully the tongue tie and extra two furlongs will see her improve further still.

3.50 An absolute corker of a race, Manifest has been talked about as a possible star, his last run looked truelly impressive, one horse that has impressed in the past is Ask, he had a terrific season last year and more importantly he has won on his last 3 seasonal debuts, so it's Ask for me, with a small bet on Rite of Passage, who is an unknown quantity, winning both his starts, the second in superb fashion.

4.25 An impossible looking race to figure out, so two against the field, with a weather related theme are Black Snowflake and Cumulus Nimbus

5.00 Afsare will be well fancied to take this after his thrashing of Wigmore Hall last time out, but I really like Quadrille there was alot to like about his last win and he seems to be improving with each run, hopefully the queen will be smiling by 5.05

5.35 Dandino has done me a treat or two this year so I am not about to desert him, he comes from a less fashionable yard but they must love him after he won last time making it a hat-trick of wins, he overcame trouble to win and hopefully the extra two furlongs will not inconvenience him.

Right, I hope day 3 is better than day 2 (except for ChrisO who managed to do OK) , good luck all.

Frankie

A 20/1 and a 7/1 winner so after a good first day, a bad second day, day 3 was pretty good.

Now for Day 4 :-)

Ascot Day 4, lets try and keep the winners coming.

2.30 a nice easy 23 runner 6f handicap for 2 year olds to start with, I am going for two here, I was really impressed with Mark Prescotts Hooray on his debut, he was fancied but looked as if he was pulling too hard, despite this he still managed to win nicely and must surely come on for that run, the other I am interested in, is the USA raider Tiz my Time the booking of Kieran Fallon looks significant, the horse has ran well over 5 furlongs in America, this step up to 6furlongs should suit him and he may surprise (Plus he has a good name)

3.05 A really interesting race, I hope Bullet Train comes back to form but I really fancy Green Moon he has progressed in leaps and bounds this year and won his last race very nicely, this step up in trip should bring about further improvement and I hope he remains unbeaten this year.

3.50 Some real hard luck stories in this race with Jacqueline Quest and Music Show, but I really like the look of Lady of the Desert she was most impressive last year and despite not quite showing that form this year yet, she was a little unlucky in running in the French 1000 Guineas, if she can get back anything like her form from last year she will have a great chance.

4.25 It's hard to find anything to oppose favourite Rainbow Peak, but he offers little value in what could turn out to be a very competitive race, so for value I am going for Stoutes' Kingdom of Fife, he was fancied at Chester last time out but didnt look to relish the track or the going, he has raced well in better class races than this, so if the fav has an off day, its Kingdom of fife for me to take advantage.

5.00 A marathon for the penultimate tace and one horse stands out, Mark Johnston has won this race 5 times since 2001 and he runs the ultra consistent Corsica, he ran a cracking race last time out behind the useful Harris Tweed, he was carrying top weight so did extremely well to finish third, this step up in distance will suit him and his trainer and jockey know the time of day.

5.35 Luca Cumanis Day of the Eagle is progressing nicely this year, he hung badly last time but still won and there should be more improvement to come as he is lightly raced.

Good luck all, been a great week so far, better than the bloody World Cup anyway, roll on the season.

Final Day of Royal Ascot and if my sequence carries on I should have a good day today after a bad day yesterday.

2.30 It seems mad to oppose Hannon and King Torus in this race especially as he bolted up by 5 lengths despite running green on his debut, but I am going to oppose him with Clive Brittains' Zaidan, he was an expensive purchase but made light of winning on his debut, this longer trip should see even more improvement so it's Zaidan for me.

3.05 With Alainmaar now a non runner this looks almost a given for Harbinger, but at such prohibitive odds it may pay to back something each way. Duncan has the all important course and distance form, he ran well on his reappearance despite hanging badly (may be down to lost shoe) and he along with the lightly raced Redwood, who's form behind Glass Hormonium was given a boost this week could give some each way value.

3.50 A really tricky race with many runners from abroad and form hard to assess, so a total stab in the dark for me, I am going for Kinsale King, he has only ever run on a synthetic surface but if taking to the grass he may take all of the beating he won well in Dubai last time out and is ably assisted by Kieran Fallon, one at a big price that catches the eye is the lightly raced Society rock, he won on his seasonal debut at this course despite finding plenty of trouble in running.

4.25 Another massively wide open race with 29 runners, Laddies Poker Two has been well backed all week and must be feared, but this is a massive task after 610 days off course, so my selection is Noverre to Go, I have followed this horse throughout it's career and its record of four wins in fourteen runs does not tell the true story, he has been unlucky in running many times and could well have won many more races, he has won at the course and at the age of four could still yet have some improvement.

5.00 Submariner to carry on Mark Johnstons great form this week looks a lively bet.

5.35 a marathon race to finish the day, I like the look of Deutschland but the ground and stamina doubts have put me off him, I also really like Swingkeel who has a touch of class, but John Dunlops horses dont seem to be fully on fire at the moment so my money will go with Ringaroses , it's strange that this will be the 9 year olds flat debut, but he has been running very well since joining Jonjo O Neill, winning 2 out of 3 over 3 miles, so it's Ringaroses for me to make a winning flat debut.

Good luck all, and nice work.

Just one winner on Friday in Lillie Langtry plus ew return on Kingdom of Fife, no selections at all on Thursday as I was busy messing around with my PC/Internet Connection :(

Sadly I'm back for what I expect to be the normal Saturday rubbish so might as well use some rubbish idea to help with selections !

2.30 Not a great start though at least only 13 though that totally blows my plan to go for stall 14 if in doubt which will certainly appear later. So as 1+4 clearly equals 5 then stall 5 it is and Eskimo for AP O'Brien is by no means without a chance with Ryan Moore on board. However, I really like King Torus who created a good impression on Leicester debut, green initially but then staying on powerfully to score by 5 lengths. Should stay 7f and no surprise to see him on the premises in this stronger race.

So King Torus @ 100/30 Eskimo ew @ 10/1 ( Stall 14 plan revised)

3.05 Again no stall 14. Harbinger could be a class apart but at odds on Duncan may be the value call at 12/1 generally though I got 16's on Ladbrokes early doors. Very consistent type who looked like winning on seasonal debut but hung slightly. William Buick is a jockey I like a lot and Duncan seems sure to run a good race as always. Harbinger to win Next best Duncan ew @12/1.

3.50 Another very trappy race but Showcasing is a horse I like and since he is in stall 7 I can simply divide 14 by 2 ( rather than go for the rag in 14 Balthazars Gift) and eureka I have it!

So: Showcasing @ 8/1 ( stall14 plan re-revised version)

4.25 Noverre to Go ew@16/1/ Damien (Stall 14 plan) ew @ 25/1 Nooooooo, it gets worse ! A 29 horse cavalry charge, sticking to my plan and backing stall 14 the unlucky horse this time is......Damien at 25/1. Not totally without hope for the Hills partnership it must be said. However, just a tad of analysis points me towards Noverre To Go. There is only one natural front runner present, despite the size of the field. However there is plenty of prominent early pace drawn high and Noverre To Go looks likely to go well from stall 27. He has improved with every outing this season and, although five pound higher than for winning at Newmarket last time out, the runner up went very close in the Buckingham Palace here yesterday. The selection has seen the backside of Medicean Man on a couple of occasions this season but he is better drawn than that rival today. Noverre To Go ew@ 16/1 Next best (Stall14 plan) Damien ew @20/1

5.00 I hardly dare look to see what this race has in store, could it be lucky stall 14 again ? It may have to be, Shamali too short at 3/1 but Becausewecan who has little chance anyway at 33/1 is in stall 14 so instead I'll go for 2 in stalls 11 and 17 which of course is 14 x 2 so that leads to :

Martyr ew @ 10/1 Mystery Star ew @ 14/1- lucky price ( Stall 14 re-re-revised plan )

5.35 Finally......I really don't want to look. Reckon this is almost certain to be another minefield. Lol, Star of Pompey at 500/1 ! It's stall 14 time again which leads to the excellent Baddam, another 33/1 winner looms ! But really I can't be backing seriously that so I'll go for number 14 on the card which leads to a decent bet in Sentry duty.

So: Sentry Duty @ 5/1 ( Stall 14 revised again plan ) Baddam ( Stall 14 plan, though 50p ew only!)

Good luck all, go lucky 14 !

Ok Frankie since I'm by no means sure about the 2.30 I'm relying on you to get me off to a flyer in the ATR tipping challenge :)

14:30 Chesham Stakes (Listed) 15 points to win on Zaidan at SP

15:05 Hardwicke Stakes (Group 2) 15 points to win on Duncan at 13.5/1

15:50 Golden Jubilee Stakes (British Leg Of The Global Sprint Challenge) (Group 1) 20 points to win on Showcasing at 7.6/1

16:25 Wokingham Stakes (Heritage Handicap) 10 points to win on Noverre To Go at 16.5/1

17:00 Duke Of Edinburgh Stakes (Handicap) 20 points to win on Martyr at 10/1

17:35 Queen Alexandra Stakes 20 points to win on Sentry Duty at SP

After a cracking start with Zaidan winning at 7/1 it was a case of almost with Duncan 2nd 8/1 Kinsale King 3rd at 8/1 with my other fancy Society Rock 2nd 50/1 !!!, Noverre to Go dissappointed in the sprint but I managed to get 10s on Laddies Poker Two last night so not so bad, must have been a nightmare for bookies this week.

Yes Duncan ran well as expected but also as expected Harbinger an easy winner so going ew paid off, should have done the forecast ! Martyr also rewarded ew support but aside from the obvious Harbinger it was hard to find winners despite going very close, Society Rock......if only :)

So as usual great racing, a few nice winners and the bookies took a bashing though not from me, at least not at Ascot !
