mightysaints Posted 12 June, 2010 Share Posted 12 June, 2010 Nigel Mansell has crashed after just 20 mins into the race, suspected flat tyre the cause. Looks like he may have a broken leg.
Ric Posted 12 June, 2010 Share Posted 12 June, 2010 Oh well. At least he'll have something genuine to whine about for once.
mightysaints Posted 12 June, 2010 Author Share Posted 12 June, 2010 My good mate Seb Hohenthal raced in the same team Fortec in F3 with his 2 sons.Seb consistantly out paced both of them so Masell blanked Seb to the point that Seb and Leo had a fight in the team lorry at Monza with daddy standing outside the lorry to stop anyone else getting in there to stop it. After that we had a pit as far away as possible from the Mansells. When Seb won at Brands everyone, even the other teams came out to say well done but the Mansells were nowhere to be seen. Even the Fortec guys were fed up with him.
Gorgiesaint Posted 12 June, 2010 Share Posted 12 June, 2010 Heard Mansell had a puncture although tough place to crash at Indianapolis. Quick question for anyone in the know, how do ou qualify for Le Mans - I presume there are more entries than can start so how does it work? ribbo Posted 17 June, 2010 Share Posted 17 June, 2010 I was at le mans this year in Houx Annexe, he had a big following, gutting for him to go out so early, especially to a blow out.

He always had a big following. And a big head. And a big arse (too big for the '95 McLaren, at least).
John Boy Saint Posted 19 June, 2010 Share Posted 19 June, 2010 (edited) If you have a look at the Beechdown "Ice Cream" racing team website there is no mention that their race ended after 17 minutes. I use to love watch Mansell driving in Formula 1, he always drove with his nuts hanging on the wing mirrors. But as time has clicked on he seems to have become a real miserable bugger, I know someone who worked at his place in Devon after a few meetings this chap decided to use his first name at which point he was told in uncertain terms " I am Mr Mansell"!
