saints_is_the_south Posted 12 June, 2010 Posted 12 June, 2010 KO in about 15 mins or so. C'mon Nigeria!
Saint_clark Posted 12 June, 2010 Posted 12 June, 2010 First game involving some of my fantasy football players Come on Messi and Milito.
hamster Posted 12 June, 2010 Posted 12 June, 2010 Prediction...3-3, both teams hungry to really kick the tournament off and both not best known for their defending prowess. Hoping for a cracker but fear (hope) that the cards will be out for the Argentinians ideally a red for Madonna ala nickh's.
hamster Posted 12 June, 2010 Posted 12 June, 2010 Anyone else think that Madonna looks like a short fat Georgie Best?
Gemmel Posted 12 June, 2010 Posted 12 June, 2010 Anyone else think that Madonna looks like a short fat ****? Yes, because he is
hamster Posted 12 June, 2010 Posted 12 June, 2010 Hoping Nigeria change tactics a little and start ti rile them. Much as I admire the kind of qulity slick football that they are serving up atm, I want themn to struggle for two reasons; it will clear the path for England, Madonna's post match rantings. Let us not forget this little cracker: On second thoughts I would love it, absolutely love it if he lost the plot after we tonk them in the final. We can dream eh..
hamster Posted 12 June, 2010 Posted 12 June, 2010 Nigeria persevering down the flanks might just nick one although I'd concentrate on the left back, he likes giving throw-ins away.. Maradonna seems to riding his luck too, if the officials tolerate too much nonsense I will be very dissapointed, shut him up and it should unsettle them on the field too.

I hope not, I have a fiver on 3-0!
dune Posted 12 June, 2010 Posted 12 June, 2010 Mick McCarthy is so boring. Reminds me of Howard Wilkinson. It's a Northern thing.
SO16_Saint Posted 12 June, 2010 Posted 12 June, 2010 it's been a good game from what ive seen - 20 mins
saints_is_the_south Posted 12 June, 2010 Author Posted 12 June, 2010 Nigerian keeper been awesome, made 4 or 5 very good stops now.
SuperMikey Posted 12 June, 2010 Posted 12 June, 2010 Nigeria are playing awfully, but their keeper has been outstanding. They'd be at least 5-0 down if it weren't for him, he's made 2 great stops from Higuain and Messi.
Saint_clark Posted 12 June, 2010 Posted 12 June, 2010 Can you imagine being a Wolves player and having to listen to McCarthy every week? F*cking Enyeama, would have loads of Metro points now if it wasn't for him.
hypochondriac Posted 12 June, 2010 Posted 12 June, 2010 Argentina will do alright but they will come undone against teams which take their chances.
SFKA South Woodford Posted 12 June, 2010 Posted 12 June, 2010 Am not impressed by either of those teams, Nigeria were so bad that it was easy for the Argies and made them look better than they actually were. When they come up against better opposition I think that they'll struggle, especially with the lack of pace and energy in their defence. Still think that Holland and possibly Germany will be the biggest dangers to the Spanish. With everything that's been written about the ball, I can't understand why more players are not trying long shots? Something which I think will be rectified by both the Germans and the Dutch, with the type of midfielders both teams have. Other than tonights game of course, I am really looking forward to what should be a good game between Holland and Denmark on Monday lunchtime.
saints_is_the_south Posted 12 June, 2010 Author Posted 12 June, 2010 Argentina will do alright but they will come undone against teams which take their chances. Exactly my thoughts, excellent going forward and would have had 4 or 5 today had it not been for Nigeria's keeper. They did look suspect at the back though. Can't understand why Maradona is playing an attacking winger in Guitierez at RB when he has Burdisso on the bench either.

saints_is_the_south Posted 12 June, 2010 Author Posted 12 June, 2010 And Zanetti in reserve...crazy. And leaving Cambiasso at home!

Smirking_Saint Posted 12 June, 2010 Posted 12 June, 2010 And leaving Cambiasso at home! That'll be why Argies don't win it, the man is a f*cking lunatic, did you see his training sessions ???? I wonder if he is just a figure head and someone else is pulling the strings ? Then i see the lineups and think, nope.
