much as i like it, as football kits go, i probably wont buy one as i dont wear football shirts to matches, into town on a saturday or down the pub, the only time i would wear it would be when playing football, or maybe by the beach on holiday. So £40 down the drain as far a i am concearned, who else isn't buying the new kit and why.

I have never bought a replica shirt they were not very common at all when I started watching Saints nearly 50 years ago

Do have a Saints Scarf though

I have never owned a replica shirt yet, mainly because of the crap material they are made out of.

I normally get a Polo style shirt with the badge on, which oddly enough is what this kit looks like, and if it is cotton then I'll probably be breaking the habit of a life time and get one

Is that to go with your Reebok Classics?

why are you still on the internet? Haven't you got any housework to do? Or beer to bring in for your boyfriend whilst he watches the football?

C'mon turkish, we all know where a woman should be whilst her boyfriend is watching the footie..... knelt down in front of the sofa, to one side of course so the head doesn't block the view! Otherwise why would women have eyes in the back of their heads;)

In fact one of my fondest memories was on honeymoon at the Banyan Tree in Phuket, romantic dinner on the beach, booked the intimate moments package for when we returned to the villa, turned on the TV looking for porn only to find something even better...... Saints beating Man City comfortably 2-0 with a totally dominant performance whilst being pleasured by the new wife:D

Of course the honeymoon is well and truly over now but the memory is locked away in the bank forever:smt110

So please don't degrade women by suggesting they have no place in football:smt018

Why anyone would want to waste there Saturday queuing up for something they could nip into town and buy tomorrow or even next week is beyond me. They do say that the British love a queue but this smacks of utter sadness just so they can say 'I have my new shirt who else has got one'? ****ing morons.

They say the British like a moan too....

I don't have it yet! I think the shirt is one our best ever. Saw it today in West Quay and will be buying it tomorrow.

Very sensible man. I don't go for replica's but I have to say it is a nice kit.

I like the kit, but I won't be getting one. For me the red-nose logo is just overpowering. It's too large, and seems to stick out on the plain white background. It might have looked more acceptable had they made a monochrome version of the Saints badge for this year. Such a shame, as the sash looks superb, but why the awful logo?

It's so white - I can imagine all kinds of ketchup and mustard stains down it following the half time mauling of the hot dogs...

Oh dear, saddo. I didn't queue up for one as I live in the midlands and am currently in SA but it's not sadness to queue and buy a shirt from the club you love. You carry on in your miserable world and let all those joyful people queue for theirs.

Why are you trying to impress people with your bull**** made up story like that? I dont believe it for a second, when have Saints ever beaten anyone comfortably with a totally dominant performance?

i have it, and i love it :-)

Oi..! There's another thread for you. ;)

Never buy kits for the purposes of wearing, other than playing football. And since I don't play anymore, I don't wear a kit. I have been given shirts before. I've got a 1999-2000 FP home shirt, and the excellent 2001 home FP shirt with No.7 and Le Tissier on the back. Then again, someone gave me a red England shirt and a white England shirt. My Mum, gawd bless her, still thought I liked Chelsea, after all these years, and gave me an Emirates shirt. Didn't have to heart to tell her, as she'd just turned 90 at the time. Back in February, I rode down to her place, with my old Saints scarf she knitted for me back in the summer of 1966. She's 95 now, and remembered it, straight away. If I turn my head round to the left, from where I sit, right now, there it is proudly hanging up, and in better nick than me. :)

probably the nicest kit ive ever owned.

If I didnt head down yesterday i would have simply stayed in bed, I am so pleased I got up!

Great idea of SFC to open the Chapel. Instead of having heroic fans queuing round the stadium all day, you were given a ticket and called up in batches to enter the shop, meaning you could chill out with a beer, and watch the end of season dvd... superb!

I went to the pub for an hour instead as i was paying with my card, arrived back and my number was called up immediately.

The quality of the kit if superb, far better than usual. Its like the England shirt but a much nicer material. The collar is nice and not overpowering on the neck, and the sash looks really smart across our sponsor less shirt.

One thing I was most skeptical about was the badge, but I have to concede it looks brilliant. The 125 blob looks much better as an embroiled fabric over a jpeg, and the gold looks class.

All in all, a really smart shirt, which you would get away with wearing out in public or the pub being so clean and subtle.

Shame the one off 125th scarfs are a bit lame.

Goalie kit if nice too, cant wait for the away kit now!

Hmmm, this was my first thought. So, come a home game nipper and I will not be eating or drinking anything which can stain the shirts. We will be drinking bottled water and eating dry bread.

Maybe not.

I don't wear kit to matches (except finals..) but I do for running and training so might get myself one. Opinion seems generally to be pretty positive about the quality.

Anyway, back to the kitchen. I might make some chocolate brownies to keep SRS's weight up..

Is it just white on the back, except for red number, lettering?

no one on this thread would know as we dont have the kit, ask those on the 'i've got a new kit' fred

I don't either yet but did go down to the launch yesterday to look at it 'in the flesh'. Looks even better from close quarters, even if it was worn by a slightly ghey looking manikin with an extremely small head.

Rather than using tall thin manakins to parade them on, I dont understand why they dont use manikins which are an accurate reflection of the average football shirt wearer. Slightly sad and geeky looking, about 3 stone over weight with a massive gut and have a hot dog in one hand and a pint in the other, that'll give a more realistic feel as to what it'll actually look like on.

Reciting complete tosh that they heard via Talksport and claim as their own opinion also

Got mine just now, it's a really nice kit, looks even better in the flesh and is really good quality.... in other words the complete opposite of what we would have expected a couple of seasons ago :D

On a side note, the megastore is open today, even though it's sunday, presumably because of the kit launch, and there are no queues whatsoever.
