Uruguay v France

Our half of the draw seems **** weak, we're very lucky.

TBF, this is our biggest chance, in so so long.

Argies are managed by a nutcase.

France are old and managed by a nutcase

Italy have no decent forwards, are old and there best player is doubtful (Pirlo)

Ivory Coast - Drogba Doubtful

Spain - Iniesta and Torres doubtful

Holland - Well, we all know they don't get on.

Portugal - Past their best

And Brazil hardly set the world alight with 9 draws and 2 losses from 18.

dear christ...get through our group, avoid the germans and we should be good for the semis..

I've kinda been saying that for months (without the "we"). Both Group A and Group B are full of pants underperforming teams and if England and Argentina win their groups and England get past D2, chances are it'll be one of France, Uruguay, Mexico or South Korea in the QF.

Of course England have to beat the US first, or it's probably Germany in round 2.

Problem is, it'll mean Fabregas and Villa will come in lol

True, not saying it will be easy but you look at the the big teams underperforming this year and TBF England having a very in form qualification run then it is looking more favourable than usual.

Spain are on fire, I think we will get to the semis which would mean 3 weeks of dreaming we could win it, thats pretty good.

As someone said on another thread - it was like two tramps fighting over a sock. Two shockingly bad sides. Mexico and South Africa will walk this group.

Not sure I can see SA holding it together over first Forlan and Sanchez and then probably Henry and Anelka but for the competition I'd really like to see SA and maybe Mexico go through looked the most inventive teams in the first two games anyway!

For the first time in ages they actually do. Hollands weakness is their defense, otherwise they have excellent team.

Uruguay are the most boring and obstuctive team to ever walk Gods Earth.

They've always been like it. Watching them is about as satisfying as having your toe-nails ripped out.

I hate the French team, but even I was willing them on to score by the end.

Uruguay boring?????????..........did you not watch Greece today?

Germany are masters of finding the easiest route to the final. Don't be surprised if they contrive to finish second in their group.

Got a bet on them to win it ;) Van Marwijk has actually got them getting on at the moment, TBH i needed to put a comment in my section above.

A Holland/van persie winning and golden boot combo is probably the best bet you could place.
