Unfortunately not at this precise moment, but I reckon i'd need to be one almighty to trip to like it. Seriously it's really bad and the socks just don't go with it.

you wont be going to games anyway..I doubt the club will lose sleep over you not liking the kit

Get back under your bridge.

I'm not fussed about the kit really anyway, so can't be arsed to argue over it.

so, we have to get to SMS for 10am on saturday to drink beer and eat a pie in the concourse then when our number is called out we go buy it from megastore

I wonder of they'll be parading some of the new beer that we're anticipating?

A question from Mrs Trousers: "is it a cotton based material like rugby shirts are made from or is it still that horrid shiny polyester crap that most 'soccer' shirts are made from?"

Thanks in advance for your insightful replies...

Tell Mrs T, it will hand wash only, no tumble dry, and TLC needed when ironing!!!!!

And The Echo didn't give a flying f*ck about Cortese and the club when they printed the Staplewood article when asked to wait for 48hrs by the club itself. If they want to maintain a good relationship with the club, it'd be best to do as they were told rather than doing what they want.

Sorry, are you genuinely suggesting that the club should be allowed to control what the press (whether it's the Echo, Radio Solent, the national press, whoever) write/say about the club and when?? Our own little Pravda... excellent.

Doesn't this rather go against your liberal roots? I'd be resigning from the Lib Dems if I were you, I'm sure there's a communist party out there who will be more aligned to your views.

And to keep it vaguely on topic. really like the kit. Gets the thumbs-up from me, although the design was hardly much of a secret

1 thing the club haven't told us is whether the kit is actually part of the "Tailored By" range with chest sizes or are they just normal shirts with S, M, L etc??

Overally I think the new kit is smart as f*** and that will definitely be getting £40 of my money no question :) Good Job Saints!

quite normal and right for companies to control timing of the release of their products.

I really like it, for a season mind you, as I like my shirts with red and white stripes.

Can't help but feel we'll look like Morris men...

Could someone explain to me how the Echo has been drawn into all of this? If the club released the photos at a certain time to ensure the Echo couldn't get photos in the early edition then surely that's rather worrying. With such a great season coming up do we really need the club even thinking about delaying photos to **** the Echo off? We should be pulling in the same direction surely?

Yes the Echo need the club more than the club needs the Echo but the club needs the fans more than fans need the club if you look at it that way.

FFS, lets just all pull together and enjoy the frigging season eh?

If it's "Tailored By" it will be an artificial blend of fibres which will have a soft cotton feel to it.

Like the England kit.

How petty. Still nice kit.

Thing is, Why would the club NOT want fans to see the new kit First on teh club website rather than in the local paper? In the past they may well have provided theeh Echo the advance publicity material on teh proviso thay hold back publication until a certain time... but they went agaisnt that agreement with the Staplewood plans... simple matter of being able to trust them really.

It works both ways. Yes the club should build bridges with the local paper, but the local paper need to accept their part in this and make amends and demonstrate they are really Supportive of the club, not just in it for circulation...and there in lies the problem...

I like it. I thought it was bit "Plain Jane" at first, but now I really like the fact they have stuck to the very same combinations as the original kit (except the sash direction option..) My Mum is getting them in for me and the three nippers next week.

Does the Sash go down the back too ?

I like it.

Wearing the stripes at games is special, and seeing them in an English town makes sense, but when you're stuck in a foreign land watching in a pub on your own, wearing the stripes just looks naff.

This however is a shirt I can wear down the pub or the shopping mall as well as at the games I manage to sneak home for.

I'll take it
