Google search page backgrounds

How annoying are they! Apparently there is no way to turn them off.

 

I can't read the text on half the backgrounds that have been displayed so far.

On the Homepage, click Change Background Image (bottom left corner), choose Editor's Picks, scroll down and the final option is plain white.

 

It will default back to white tomorrow, anyway.

but that is just the "home" page, you don't (well I don't) get it on any search results.

Bit plebish though. The main thing I've always liked about google is how they've kept it simple. Looks a bit 'bling/bing' ish now.

I dont get it on search results page but Google is my homepage in chrome.

Even picking the white background doesn't help much as they have changed all the text to white! Oh and I didn't mention the search results page in my title

I like it, I also like the way you can add your own images as a web designer and a photographer it's ideal.
