I'm only like 17 so... Gareth Bale ripping up the left hand side, Wayne Bridge, Theo Walcott, MLT, Matty Oakley ;)

You keep those memories matey because one day, when you're an 'old boy' like a lot of us are now, you'll get that warm happy feeling as they come back to you.

Wondering if we'll ever see Charlie George play

He used to watch me and the other members of IBM's second team play at Hursley on Sunday mornings when he was walking his dog. I'd have offered him a game but we had a full squad.

The bloke dressed up in red and white with the team names on his back who used to get the "Boys" terrace on the Milton Rd (could girls go in there?) to chant "2-4-6-8 who do we appreciate S..A..I..N..T..S.....SAINTS"

Ujpest called him back I think. Looked really good as well.

Who was that other Hungarian we had on trial I think he went to Bristol City?

John Sydenham on the left wing running down the cinder track to get past the fullback instead of a boggy pitch.

Mick Channon fouled outside the penalty area and crawling inside while the ref' was not looking.

Terry Paine - the best crosser of the ball I've ever seen.

Ron Davies soaring above defenders for another headed goal.

Standing under the West Stand, hurling abuse at Branfoot.

Yes, i remember your recollections of one particular incident. Must make a point of having that pre-match beer one day next season, maybe go for that curry afterwards too. We can pick a match out when the fixtures are released.....when your not on the beat perhaps? ;)

the laughing paki..

although, not SFC related (probably)

Still about...saw him about 3 times last season on the way to matches outside

St Marys Sports Hall.

Although to be fair age has caught up with him..He is now the Grumpy Looking Old Paki ;-).

To add, nippers being passed to the front so they can see the game.

Nippers stood on crates, boxes, steps and stools at the front.

Wooden rattles although loveable old rosey cheeks tried tha one.

What are the things that we don't see anymore when it comes to the Saints?

I will start with the Daily Echo not having anymore exclusives.

Goals against beating the goals for in the league table.

Anymore?

Terry Paine ..England right-winger ...and dog-catcher.

Explanation: On a poorly-supported Dell evening game (mid 1960's) a loose dog got onto the pitch and the ref. eventually stopped play ...while 20 or so players took nearly two minutes trying to capture the animal.

When the dog eventually came his way.. Terry tackled it " rugby-style " and returned it to its embarrased owner on the terraces... and got the biggest cheer of the night.

When you went away the next week you got the same issue in the Home Team's programme (if they subscribed).

Sweet dreams! Davies seemed to hang in the air for Paine or Sydenham's cross.
