Matthew Le God Posted 9 June, 2010 Posted 9 June, 2010 Ever wondered what 60 tonnes of soil looks like?
Block 5 Posted 9 June, 2010 Posted 9 June, 2010 I was at SMS today and didn't notice tons of soil lying around. However I did notice that there were some workmen trying to sort a problem of loads of water p1ssing off the top of the roof. It looked like they were replacing some kind of insulation / lagging material. I hope SMS gets a much needed spruce up over the Summer; it was looking tired and shabby in places today.
dune Posted 9 June, 2010 Posted 9 June, 2010 So not only do they want to rip us off with the ticket tax they now want us to cart away their soil.
Matthew Le God Posted 9 June, 2010 Posted 9 June, 2010 So not only do they want to rip us off with the ticket tax they now want us to cart away their soil. It is free. Why are you complaining? They could have quite easily just got rid of it. Yes, it saves them money disposing some of it, but it is also a nice gesture.

Kids on here, and all that.
Matthew Le God Posted 9 June, 2010 Posted 9 June, 2010 Guys, I think he was joking. It is impossible to tell if he is ever serious or not.
hamster Posted 10 June, 2010 Posted 10 June, 2010 I may pop down and grab a few shovel-fulls this weekend. I have a few bare patches that won't respond to other methods I have tried, hopefully this will get to the root of the problem. My lawn will be a cut above the rest and sod what others think.
Chez Posted 10 June, 2010 Posted 10 June, 2010 is there any left (Thursday morning)? I need some topsoil.
Secret Site Agent Posted 11 June, 2010 Posted 11 June, 2010 Surely if they're already paying a company to dig it and carry it outside the stadium it wouldn't have cost that much to get a 35 yard roll on skip and dump it all in there. It's all about recycling these days. By the way, do I have to pay up front for the soil, or is there a payment plan?
The9 Posted 11 June, 2010 Author Posted 11 June, 2010 You don't want to be collecting your mud at the same time as the lovely new white kit, do ya ?
