following on from the big screens thread, where are people watching the game and why...

im not sure yet, hooking up with mate and his bro-in-law from southend, possibly walkabout...

Was meant to go to Avondale, but my mate was moaning about the price of a bus to get into town. Will save that for the next two group games now

Oo er!

Bus in to town = £6 return = 2 less pints.

No bus in to town = 2 pints more.

No brainer tbf.

Meh, however much it is - a 30 second walk over the local still beats spending 2 hours on a bus there & back to town!

True, especially considering what a total ****hole Avondale is.

Come down to the Old Farmhouse on Mount Pleasant Road!

I am DJ-ing in there before the game from 6.30 to whip up the crowd with some classic footy songs and will be there after the game playing some vintage hip hop and electro breaks.

There are two huge 50" screens outside in their lovely garden, plus further screens inside in the bar area. Barbecue food will be available weather permitting.

Should be a cracking atmosphere.

I have absolutely no idea.

Short of the opener at a mate's, one of the england games in Varsity and New Zealand v Slovakia in O'Neills in Winchester due to a work meeting, I haven't given locations a second thought.

Yeah that is the one! They also have ska and mod events, and have done Northern Soul all dayers, drum and bass, trance, allsorts really. I am starting to do a regular hip hop night in there as well, did my first one last weekend and it went down pretty well. Cracking pub. Oh and the landlord does a mean jerk chicken, rice and peas :)

But just to reiterate if any of you Saintsweb bods want to come down, I will be starting at 6.30pm with the usual football-related tunes before the game, then into some lovely old & nu-school hip hop afterwards. Entry is free, there is a nice selection of beers available, and there should be some really nice food too.

If anyone does come down, make sure you say hi. I will be the big bald chap hunched over a laptop, supping a lager!
