Is your workplace doing a World Cup sweepstake, if so what are the prizes and what do you win?

 

This is a slightly gloating thread, as I got Argentina, and winner gets £100, with a £5 entry fee. I feel sorry for my mate, who got North Korea.

Doing one with some mates, we're doing it by groups. £10 entry, winner gets £50, second gets £20 and third gets £10. I got the group with Italy, Paraguay, Slovakia and New Zealand, so not too bad I guess! I had Italy down to win the WC in the first place as well...

Incidentally, my girlfriend's work are doing one, and she got Uruguay. As bonus winnings though, they are also paying out on the first team to have a player sent off, and the first team to score in the tournament. (Whoever has Mexico could be rolling in cash.)

I got germany at work. Two quid entry winner gets £26, 2nd gets £18, 3rd gets £10 and team that concedes the most gets £8.

 

I'm happy with this. Sweepstake should just be for fun - if I wanted to win a lot then I'd put a bet on.
