Players missing the world cup..

What is it with this year? so many big name players are getting injured prior to the tournament.

 

So far we've lost Rio, Drogba, Mikel, Essien, Ballack, Pirlo is a ''major'' doubt, Robben is now a major doubt and there are still questions over the fitness of Cesc and Torres.

 

it's a shame as you want to see all the best players at the world cup...

And Mr England himself David Beckham.

 

Of all those I think Essien and Drogba will be a huge loss to the competition. I was really hoping one of the African teams would do well and light the tournament up. I just can't see Ghana or Ivory Coast doing it with Essien and Drogba.
