Saint Billy Posted 4 June, 2010 Share Posted 4 June, 2010 If I remember rightly, was'nt it mentioned by the new owners that they wanted Sfc to be pretty much self sufficient once all the debts were cleared. Perhaps this is book balancing time, perhaps this is NC demonstrating to ML that Sfc can hold its own financially which then proves to ML we are sound financially and that he is not pumping money into a dark void. This in turn may give ML more confidence in investing more funds which is obviously required for the big promotion push. What we dont need is some militant knee jerker throwing his toys out of the pram and aiming his infantile rants at the people who saved our club from oblivion. Haven't we had enough already! NickG Posted 4 June, 2010 Share Posted 4 June, 2010 With the rip off ticket tax, and the shoddy treatment of fans who cannot afford to pay for season tickets in one hit, it is going cost a lot of us a damn site more to watch third division football next season. Cortese must be laughing his head off at the complaints because he thinks he has us over a barrel and the mugs will moan but they'll have to put up with it and pay more. However the extra spent on tickets can be clawed back by boycotting the club programme, club merchandise (including the new shirt), matchday hospitality, the travel club, and food and drink on the concourse. I'm not saying a blanket boycott is needed, but I for one will be making a conscious effort to spend less on the extras next season. lol:rolleyes:
Give it to Ron Posted 4 June, 2010 Share Posted 4 June, 2010 I love the original post, not least because it's clearly ****ed off the Evangelical wing of Saints fans, who love Saints sooooooo much they simply can't pay enough just to prove their love. Pity so many of them can't make a coherent argument in response and just resort to calling the OP a "tit" fool" etc etc etc. For what it' worth I recently watched a 3rd flight game in france and paid 1 euro entrance. Yes the standard was at least 2 leagues lower than our own third flight, but if you consider Eastleigh charge a tenner entrance, and some mugs pay it!! But some people just love to bend over and take a shafting. So you haven't renewed your ST Brother Francis???

up and away Posted 4 June, 2010 Share Posted 4 June, 2010 I agree with the opening the post. The rest of you can continue applauding being charged more money. NC should at least have had the decency of just increasing the ticket price by £3 rather than the ridiculous add ons. Where possible pay on the day away from home so they dont get the £3 just for the privilidge of sending you a ticket. can't believe others can't see THE CLUB ARE TAKING THE **** Of course they are! They should just cut the st's even more and let the cherry pesters finance all the players, salaries, the fact we are not in the blue square and ad infinitum! SuperMikey Posted 4 June, 2010 Share Posted 4 June, 2010 When Alpine Saint is calling you pathetic, you know it's time to pack it in really. Did your NF march not go well today or something Stanley? You just seem a bit grumpier than usual, you're always such a polite, understanding and cohesive chap. FWIW, I will answer to the OP rather than just aiming the usual insults at him. At the end of the day, what's £3 if you want to buy a ticket every now and then? That tax isn't going to apply to ST holders that go every week, it's mainly aimed at people who choose to go when they please rather than when they are obliged. And as for the lack of installation payments, it was a bit underhand to not inform people of it not being included, but it's not the end of the world, and certainly not worth boycotting the club over. FFS, they've scrapped the payment plan, not shut the club down. I dont care how small your boycott is, YOU ARE LUCKY TO HAVE A CLUB!! We nearly got shut down but were saved by a billionaire who has invested massively in our club yet just because they are now asking for money up front for a season ticket, you see fit to call a boycott? Stop being such a whiny baby and get over it FFS.

sambosa75 Posted 4 June, 2010 Share Posted 4 June, 2010 It's the ticket tax that has wound me up the most. Get over it mate. It's a business and you are a customer. A customer is required to meet the terms of purchase set out by the vendor. Sometimes its not convenient and sometimes due to circumstances the terms of purchase change. If you cant afford the season ticket or choose not to purchase that is your problem, not the clubs. Frankly speaking, a boycott of any description is f**king ludicrous given what Cortese and Liebherr have done for the club in such a short space of time.
