ponto1963 Posted 4 June, 2010 Posted 4 June, 2010 Might just do that, but then again I might just stay at home :-) http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2064592,00.html
Colinjb Posted 4 June, 2010 Posted 4 June, 2010 Bit of a long way to travel from Cov to be fair. I'll stick to either my HD tele or Chaved up local ta.
ponto1963 Posted 4 June, 2010 Author Posted 4 June, 2010 £75?? F*ck off! As I said I'm probably staying at home ;-)
dune Posted 4 June, 2010 Posted 4 June, 2010 £75 to watch a game on TV. Cortese clearly has plans to rip off fans off big time when he can.
Neil Posted 4 June, 2010 Posted 4 June, 2010 Another cunning as a fox plan from our Marketing boys to tap into the "got £75+VAT spare to watch a WC game with a meal and some drinks" mass market in Southampton and surrounding districts. Even more cunning as there's probably no other venue in town showing the games...
fish fingers Posted 4 June, 2010 Posted 4 June, 2010 £75 to watch a game on TV. Cortese clearly has plans to rip off fans off big time when he can. I seem to remember this sort of thing happening before at SMS before the evil Cortese arrived.

Even more cunning as there's probably no other venue in town showing the games... LOLz. I shall be spreading my time evenly between venues with tvs near my office and tvs near my sofa.
Colinjb Posted 4 June, 2010 Posted 4 June, 2010 Even more cunning as there's probably no other venue in town showing the games... If only we had a way of identifying potential viewing venues for this tournament around town. Say a house open to the public with advertising on it's walls or maybe (far out idea I know) a flag.... .... if Only......

Colinjb Posted 4 June, 2010 Posted 4 June, 2010 Hah, but the Saints venue sells ALCOHOL. A publicly open house with alcohol could be an option... No, thats just stupid! It would be like daring to put garlic with bread.
Torrent Of Abuse Posted 4 June, 2010 Posted 4 June, 2010 £75 to watch a game on TV. Cortese clearly has plans to rip off fans off big time when he can. Yes. Particularly that bit where he said it was compulsory to attend. He'll probably charge an extra £3 ticket tax and charge you extra for ketchup on your chips too. They'll probably use Illegal Immigrants to do the catering and bring the kids from the local orphanage in to polish the glassware. You've clearly got your head screwed on, Dune. Screwed onto a pig's arse.
JonnyLove Posted 4 June, 2010 Posted 4 June, 2010 A publicly open house with alcohol could be an option... No, thats just stupid! It would be like daring to put garlic with bread. GARLIC!!!! With BREAD!!!. Now your just dreaming man. What a stupid idea.
swannymere Posted 4 June, 2010 Posted 4 June, 2010 So now its wrong for the club to try and make a little extra money? It's clearly aimed at the corporate crowd so why get your knickers in a twist? I know, lets do all the events at a loss
JonnyLove Posted 4 June, 2010 Posted 4 June, 2010 £75 to watch a game on TV. Cortese clearly has plans to rip off fans off big time when he can. I am no trying to work out if you are just trying to be sarcastic or are just plain stupid. I think you will find this is the events team not a Cortese issue. And free booze and food for 90+ minutes and everything else thrown in. For corporate events very good. (And lets face it these events are aimed and the more generous or more wealthy of people)
SNSUN Posted 4 June, 2010 Posted 4 June, 2010 £75 to watch a game on TV. Cortese clearly has plans to rip off fans off big time when he can. All inclusive drinks until the final whistle? I could very easily rip Cortese off with that offer. :-) I may need my stomach pumped afterwards, and would probably be peeing for about five hours afterwards, but it's doable.
Huffton Posted 4 June, 2010 Posted 4 June, 2010 £75 to watch a game on TV. Cortese clearly has plans to rip off fans off big time when he can. Welcome back Scooby;)
djharvey Posted 4 June, 2010 Posted 4 June, 2010 £75 to watch a game on TV. Cortese clearly has plans to rip off fans off big time when he can. You have a choice!

Was thinking the same thing myself! Doors open at 5, game kicks off at 7.30 so will finish about 9.25. That's nearly 4.5 hours drinking time. Can drink a hell of a lot in that time! Throw in a three course meal and there's your money's worth.
