Looking like he is to Leave Liverpool. reports BBC and Sky

They are trying to work out an exit strategy , whatever that is.

It's saying bugger off without offending the bloke, harming his reputation, or seeming to offend the bloke or harm his reptutation. Plus it puts a huge wad of cash in his pocket, I've no doubt, so he doesn't have to work again unless he wants to. Then off he goes to the team that lose their manager to Inter Milan.

That's two european managers who have just about presided over the averaging of Liverpool, into a top 8 to 10 team, instead of a top 2 to top 4 team. He may have won the Champions League with them, but that's actually not what Liverpool are about. They want domestic domination, first and foremost. Winning the European Cup is actually a secondary priority. What they need is a huge amount of money and a modern day Bill Shankly or Bob Paisley. Unfortunately, the only one around is in his twilight managerial years at Man U.

WGS..? ;)

Amusing to read on the BBC gossip round up is the suggestion of the Liverpool board considering Mark Hughes as a possible replacement.

They are welcome to him,but I can't see the scouser fans taking that easily.

Not a massive fan of Liverpool but always want them to be up there challenging as it makes it more interesting.

All the liverpool fans i know make me laugh, they are still defending Rafa for his european cup, and yes it is a massive cup but other than that he has taken them backwards.

Good riddence

Lol at that post. Liverpool fans really are a different bread. Absolute shower.

Signature is even better.

Blimey..! Got to admire their loyalty to him. Frankly, I think... well you know what I think. He signed alsoran players and got alsoran results. But then Liverpool don't seem to see that they have fallen from their high position because the rest of the footballing world has moved on. Shankly must be fidgeting in his grave.

Perfect job for him, can see Mascherano following him there now. He really won't have to change a thing from the Mourinho era to get them playing in the style Rafa will want.

Also got to laugh at Liverpool paying Rafa 6m and him walking into one of the biggest jobs in Europe less than a week later.

I really enjoy Liverpool struggling, still other than the skates the team I can't stand due to the glory boys at my school in the 80's.

I dont mind Liverpool as a team but dont like the arrogance of some of their supporters expecting a top four spot as a divine right similar to some of our fans perhaps in football you have to earn the points

I think they will struggle next season

It's amazing that at School in the 80s everyone supported Liverpool, now I struggle to find anyone of my age that supports them.

Where did they all go?

I supported Liverpool in the mid-80's when I started primary school, because everyone else did.

I saw the light, and the light was red and white.
