Why does the BBC need either of them? On top of the commentators they've already got Lineker, Hansen, Shearer and Lawrenson. How many people do they need to talk sh1t during half time? Also, if they've got reporters in the cities where the games are being played then why does the studio need to be in South Africa? It's quite clearly just a beano that we as licence fee payers are footing the bill for as always.

I'm ITV, I like the World Cup adverts, and the chance to pee without missing anything. The Beeb not having ads means they've got a hell of a lot of time to talk shyte to keep the programme flowing, and what better shyte-talker than Redknapp.

I've always prefered BBC's coverage. ITV always seem to do a cr@p job of covering anything - be it with the Tactics truck, the stupid pitchside podium, their awful F1 coverage or their "no idea whats going on" rugby world cup coverage.

However with Redcrap on the BBC sofas I may have to watch ITV.

Well, thats me completely f*cked then.

I am with Jonny Lewis, whenever i see the ITV lover boy and resident boredom mongrel Townsend i just want to brake things, and now they are joined by the tedious and equally boring Adrian Chiles.

But NOW the beeb have signed saggy chops.

Atleast i don't have to listen to Jamie 'can i get a sentence in about my dad, cousin or Hoddle' Redknapp

Not that bad. Rather watch the bbc than sit through adrian chiles on itv, joined by andy "boring and dull" townsend and gareth "ugly c u n t" southgate.
It is that bad, putting up with chilie is a far sight easier than having to see the saggy faced c*nt. BBC wasting tax payers money on that thieving tw*t:smt072

The best thing about British football pundits is you can generally ignore them entirely and not miss a single useful comment about the match.

Annoyingly the Beeb has also signed up Roy Hodgson so I'll actually want to listen to him, just not the rest of them.

BBC for me. Couldnt care who's in the studio or commentating. I'll be watching in the pub so wont listen to all the guff before and after

Why do people think they have a choice?

The games are either on BBC or ITV, but not both (the only exception I believe being if England reach semi-finals or final) - so if you want to watch a game you have to watch it on the channel it is on.

I just won't watch any of it.

I never listen to any pundits whatever channel it is on.

If I watched the game, then I know what happened, because I've seen it.

It certainly wouldn't stop me watching a football game.

Martin O'Neill and Terry Venables are always insightful.

It's commentators that are the real problem though...
