saintbob40 Posted 26 September, 2008 Posted 26 September, 2008 http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11096_4150844,00.html Looks like we have been playing him in the wrong position. Holding mid is his best position according to the responses to this piece. Although he'll probably end up plugging gaps as they arise.
badgerx16 Posted 26 September, 2008 Posted 26 September, 2008 We have a habit of playing players out of position though, don't we ? Surman at LB, BWP on the pitch.....
trousers Posted 26 September, 2008 Posted 26 September, 2008 We have a habit of playing players out of position though, don't we ? Surman at LB, BWP on the pitch..... Skacel as coach driver to Rotherham...
NickG Posted 26 September, 2008 Posted 26 September, 2008 chelsea state he is CB, RB or midfielder, seem to remember plays for England U19 in defence as well, so we are not really playing him out of position. http://www.chelseafc.com/page/TheReservesProfiles/0,,10268~912198,00.html
Saint_clark Posted 26 September, 2008 Posted 26 September, 2008 No, he is a defender. Their OPINION is that he is better in DM. Some people could argue Surman is better at LB, whilst others think he is wasted there.
team-saint Posted 26 September, 2008 Posted 26 September, 2008 he's the best right back we've got and we have other players in dm so play him at right back
AndyNorthernSaints Posted 26 September, 2008 Posted 26 September, 2008 he's the best right back we've got and we have other players in dm so play him at right back Who?
AndyNorthernSaints Posted 26 September, 2008 Posted 26 September, 2008 wotton, schneiderlin, gillett, james Scheiderlin and Gillett are injured. James has not proved he's good enough at this level in any postion. I will not even comment on Wotton.
saintwarwick Posted 26 September, 2008 Posted 26 September, 2008 he's the best right back we've got and we have other players in dm so play him at right back I'd also keep him at right back, the best we have for that position.
