SET Posted 31 May, 2010 Posted 31 May, 2010 http://www.givemefootball.com/pfa-transfer-list That Thompson chap looks promising
Glasgow_Saint Posted 31 May, 2010 Posted 31 May, 2010 (edited) Jake Thompson HCDAJFU Add the entire Crystal P squad too...... George Boateng and/or Warren Feeney ??? Edited 31 May, 2010 by Glasgow_Saint
SuperMikey Posted 31 May, 2010 Posted 31 May, 2010 Noticed that as well, doesn't surprise me tbh. Can see him going to a newly promoted L1 club or perhaps Torquay if they're still interested in him (although I remember reading a Torquay fan's post on here about Jake, saying that he'd played well for the first half of the season and then lost it completely in the second and had dropped out of favour).

I see Torquay have dumped Scott Bevan too. Shame for the guy
SuperMikey Posted 31 May, 2010 Posted 31 May, 2010 I see Torquay have dumped Scott Bevan too. Shame for the guy He's turned into a bit of a ping-pong footballer sadly, can't hold down a place at a club. Very good keeper at this level though, he's certainly better than Forecast.
beatlesaint Posted 31 May, 2010 Posted 31 May, 2010 I see Torquay have dumped Scott Bevan too. Shame for the guy Yeah and after having Michael Poke on loan for parts of the last three or four seasons they havent bothered to pick him up now he has been released, they signed another keeper last week. I thought he was highly rated down there ! Shame, hope he gets a club soon.
doubleonothing Posted 31 May, 2010 Posted 31 May, 2010 George Boateng, Febian Brandy, Deon Burton, Lee Carsley are some of the bigger names in there. Just like playing real life FM!
itchen_dan Posted 31 May, 2010 Posted 31 May, 2010 Scowcroft or Burgess CDAJFU imo. Both big strikers who would be able to offer cover for Sir Rickie.
SuperMikey Posted 31 May, 2010 Posted 31 May, 2010 Scowcroft or Burgess CDAJFU imo. Both big strikers who would be able to offer cover for Sir Rickie. Scowcroft is slow as f*ck and getting on a bit now, but Burgess CDAJFU for sure. Bullish and powerful, good in the air and holds the ball up well. Not sure whether he'd play second fiddle to Rickie though when he could easily get first team football at most other clubs at L1 level and perhaps even CCC (P*mpey?).
Ewell Posted 31 May, 2010 Posted 31 May, 2010 Lee Carsley = http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/8192580.Pardew_looking_for_midfield_general/ Sometimes 2+2=5 does go!
Saints Mad Si Posted 31 May, 2010 Posted 31 May, 2010 Anyone know if any of our released players have been snapped up yet??
Andy_Porter Posted 31 May, 2010 Posted 31 May, 2010 Scowcroft is slow as f*ck and getting on a bit now, but Burgess CDAJFU for sure. Bullish and powerful, good in the air and holds the ball up well. Not sure whether he'd play second fiddle to Rickie though when he could easily get first team football at most other clubs at L1 level and perhaps even CCC (P*mpey?). Scowcroft is ****, although he does like scoring at St Marys. Saw him in a reserve match when we had the two dutch clowns in charge and he was pretty awfull, he was the only real experienced player on either side and he looked worse than pretty much everyone (apart from Molyneux, Forecast and Marsh-Brown bloke we had on trial)
Saint Mikey Posted 31 May, 2010 Posted 31 May, 2010 As we really need someone to kick the **** out of people in midfield, then I would say that both Gavin Mahon and Shaun Derry could do a job at this level. Carsley would be great on the sort of deal we have Connolly at the moment. Otherwise, would Gary McSheffrey be worth a gamble? Was a very very good player a couple of seasons ago. Also spotted Sam Sodje in there...
positivepete Posted 31 May, 2010 Posted 31 May, 2010 Lee Carsley would be an outstanding signing IMHO
RonManager Posted 31 May, 2010 Posted 31 May, 2010 Dans at Palace would be a great signing And if we can't get him, then Danns
beatlesaint Posted 31 May, 2010 Posted 31 May, 2010 Dans at Palace would be a great signing I'm sure the QPR fans will agree when Warnock snaps him up
31GARRY Posted 31 May, 2010 Posted 31 May, 2010 Llooyd sam could do a job on the left wing. Pards rate him as well.
saintjay77 Posted 31 May, 2010 Posted 31 May, 2010 I see Torquay have dumped Scott Bevan too. Shame for the guy Think injury's played a bigish part in that. The only thing that got either Poke or Bevan out of the team was injurys and both seemed to earn to keep the shirt when they had there chance. I thought Poke would end up down here when we released him. But then I also thought they would have done as much as possible to get rid of Forcast and keep Poke.
georgeismyname Posted 31 May, 2010 Posted 31 May, 2010 Definitely: Danny Butterfield, Lee Carsley, Salif Diao, Gary McSheffrey, Franck Queudrue Maybe: Fabian Brandy, George Boateng, Shaun Derry, Warren Feeney, Clint Hill, Gavin Mahon, Lloyd Sam, Sam Sodje Maybe as back-up: Ryan Dickson, Dean Cox, Marcus Hall, Rob Kozluk, Jonathan Macken, Paul McVeigh, Moritz Volz
SaintRichmond Posted 1 June, 2010 Posted 1 June, 2010 He's turned into a bit of a ping-pong footballer sadly, can't hold down a place at a club. (Bevan) Very good keeper at this level though, he's certainly better than Forecast. Not much of a recomendation.... Stevie Wonder is better than Forecast IMHO
the saint in winchester Posted 1 June, 2010 Posted 1 June, 2010 However did we come to give Forecast a 5 year contract? :-( We've never given anyone else a 5 year contract, have we?
Channon's Sideburns Posted 3 June, 2010 Posted 3 June, 2010 I can imagine the conversation went something like this... RL : We're off to look at goalkeepers, need some back up for Kelvin..... ANOTHER : Weather's looking ok.. Have you seen the Forecast - looking good... The rest is history. One confused conversation and one dodgy keeper.
beatlesaint Posted 3 June, 2010 Posted 3 June, 2010 However did we come to give Forecast a 5 year contract? :-( We've never given anyone else a 5 year contract, have we? Without stirring up a hornets nest I think you will find that was down to a Mr R. Lowe !
Um Bongo Posted 3 June, 2010 Posted 3 June, 2010 Ade Akinfenwa? Been released by Northampton. Back up for Lambert?
SNSUN Posted 3 June, 2010 Posted 3 June, 2010 Moritz Volz will once again crop up in Saints fans lists of right backs that could join us, could be one of those players we link ourselves with every summer. Has David Raven done anything of note since leaving Liverpool?
Colbury Posted 3 June, 2010 Posted 3 June, 2010 Ade Akinfenwa? Been released by Northampton. Back up for Lambert? F*ck that - have you seen how fat he is?
Jimmy Gabriel's Halo Posted 3 June, 2010 Posted 3 June, 2010 As far as I'm aware Shaun Derry has signed, or will sign, for Ipswich. So include him out.
Flyer Posted 3 June, 2010 Posted 3 June, 2010 As far as I'm aware Shaun Derry has signed' date=' or will sign, for Ipswich. So include him out.[/quote'] I hope so, hes worthless but by all accounts, hes going to QPR.
saintedwill Posted 4 June, 2010 Posted 4 June, 2010 Moritz Volz will once again crop up in Saints fans lists of right backs that could join us, could be one of those players we link ourselves with every summer. Has David Raven done anything of note since leaving Liverpool? I heard he did a nice job of redecorating his mum's living room
Saint Fan CaM Posted 4 June, 2010 Posted 4 June, 2010 This guy must have something about him? Just had a season in L2 with Bury. http://www.givemefootball.com/transfer-details?player=18460&playerID=9459
