Do I win?

And if so, how many players have scored 50 or more league goals since the war for Saints, and can you name them?

To get things underway:

Ron Davies

Mick Channon

MLT

Charlie Wayman

Phil Boyer

Martin Chivers

Terry Paine

George O'Brien

Derek Reeves

Eric Day

Pat Parker

Danny Wallace

David Armstrong

A few I thought might have but didn't:

Marian Pahars

Egil Ostenstad

David Peach (?)

By my reckoning Phil Boyer only had 49 league goals & Pat Parker never scored a goal for us

I reckon the old boy is our winner ;)

Yep. Someone already had Holmes (56 league goals), but Hoskins was the missing link, equalling 17 in total. Right, your go, Vectis Saint.

Having fallen foul of the "have to post a question within 30-minutes rule" earlier in this thread I'm now going to get my own back with a question of my own...

Who signed for Saints in 1993 for a fee of £7,500...?

Jackpot...!

Bloody hell, I didn't think it was that easy a question! Your go Sid.

It wasn't - I just have a strange mind....

Okay, who was the first Saints player to be substituted, having come on as a substitute himself?

Posted
Neil Heaney during the 7-1 stuffing at Everton. Nov 96. The week before the Ali Dia Experience.

Correct. Either the questions are too easy or we are too damned good. Off you go...

Thanks, I remember 1975 better than 2005 and as for 1965..

on Sep 18 1965 Saints beat Wolves 9-3 at The Dell. What was the score after 5 minutes!?

2-1? I got in the kiddies Chocolate Box (I was 7) after missing the start. Celebrated 2 early goals, only to be told it was 2-1 and I had a missed a Tony Knapp OG.

Close ! May even be right, I know it was soon 2-2 but by half time it was 5-2 and then 9-3 after an hour with no goals at all in the last 30 minutes!

It was 2 2 after twelve minutes not sure after 5 may have been 1 1

I was right then?

In that case, who which team did Paul Allen score his only Saints goal against?

Bonus point for the future saint who also scored in that game...

Well i think you're right, slightly wrong me saying you JUST beat me to it as i was 37 minutes later than you.

Easy. Glen ****erill. He's the only one with asterisks in his name.

Yeah, I revived it. Thought it was an excellent idea, a good way to learn some obscure [and most likely completely useless] Saints-related trivia. Much better than sitting on here getting frustrated at the lack of transfer / new kit activity.

P.S. if you go back to my answer in Post 778 I think you'll find its correct but never confirmed by Lets B Avenue..... hence another point to me! ;o)

Len Wilkins ? The only one who played for Saints but no other team.
