Seeing as 5 hours have passed here goes;

Who is the odd one out and why?

Ted Bates, Len Wilkins, Glenn ****erill, Mick Channon, Tony Knapp, Steve Moran and Jimmy Melia.

Damn, I missed my go. That's the problem with only accessing the internet at work! And I had a great question ready too.

Yeah, I revived it. Thought it was an excellent idea, a good way to learn some obscure [and most likely completely useless] Saints-related trivia. Much better than sitting on here getting frustrated at the lack of transfer / new kit activity.

P.S. if you go back to my answer in Post 778 I think you'll find its correct but never confirmed by Lets B Avenue..... hence another point to me! ;o)

Dont know why you think it would be right, as we never played them in that era and probably never until 2007.

The answer was Wolves in Sep 78 after 18 successes starting with the Palace semi-final.

OK, here goes. On the same night that Saints drew 1-1 at Orient to clinch promotion to Div 1 back in 1978 the reserves were playing at home. In the reserves match a Saints player scored five goals - who was he?

Scores updated now. Points given where definable over the last few pages.

Reminder, questions must have ONE definable answer.

Incidentally, the answer to this one is:

Neville. (Steve Neville I believe)

Correct. It's the only time I've seen a Saints player score five in a match, though I was at Portman Road when Alan Brazil scored five against us.

Excuse my ignorance, but how do I find out the score?

Yours faithfully.

Dear Mr Luddite

Many thanks for your enquiry, the current score totals are present in post #001 of this thread.

Were do you get these stats from!?

Coventry?

Same place as you get your answers probably ! Coventry is correct, not sure of exact number but it is over 100. Notts Forest are next.

Nobody has the right answer yet. Others who are not the odd one out include Kevin Moore, Jason Dodd, Dean Hammond, Peter Rodrigues and Jimmy Case.

For the sake of consolidation, we shall go with 'Right sider's question next.

Which teams do Saints have a 100% league record against ?

No, this is a plural answer. No points will be awarded for it.

And it was going so well.
