Absolute travesty.

That reminds me of a manager in Scotland a long time ago (can't remember who), who said of one of his strikers (words to the effect): "He's bloody useless. He does practically nothing. All he does is score goals."

:D

True, and that is undeniable but for him to go above KK and MC in a table is absurd given their respective talents.

Agreed. How do you propose that we rectify this?

Peter Crouch needs six more goals to reach the top ten England goal scorers of all time.

Will overtake Keegan and Channon soon.

He already has TBH ! Keegan and Channon both scored 21 goals, Mick played fewer games though- 46 to KK's 61 I think it was.

Bobby Charlton: 106 Caps 49 Goals

Gary Lineker: 80 Caps, 48 Goals

Jimmy Greaves: 57 Caps, 44 Goals

Michael Owen: 88 Caps, 40 Goals

Tom Finney: 76 Caps, 30 Goals

Nat Lofthouse: 33 Caps, 30 Goals

Alan Shearer: 63 Caps, 30 Goals

John Vivian Woodward: 23 Caps, 29 Goals

Steve Bloomer: 23 Caps, 28 Goals

David Platt: 55 Caps, 27 Goals

What a wierd thing to say.

Exactly, They were both talented players, but they didn't score the goals crouch has and in that amount of time. Simple.

What on earth was the ITV commentator going on about when Mexico scored? He didn't seem to have spotted that the ball (and the goalie) were about 3 foot inside the goal?

Yeah i noticed that, wondered what on earth he thought was wrong with the goal.

He seemed to think it had been given for the first shot that was cleared off the line by Baines "that is a very very close call if he's given it", completely ignoring the fact that Green was lying with the ball about 3 feet over the goal line.
