Saint in Paradise Posted 24 May, 2010 Share Posted 24 May, 2010 One for you conspiracy people South Korea say they now have proof that it was a torpedo from North Korea which sank their warship in March. Just five days ago, they found what they were looking for - the propellers, a propulsion motor and a steering section of a torpedo, a perfect match for a model known to be manufactured and exported by North Korea. So do you :- A Believe it was NK acting alone ? B Another country who quietly dislike SK using a NK torpedo they bought, like China ? C Japan, U.S.A. ? or yet another country you think it could have been using a stolen NK torpedo to really stir things up ? http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/world/asia_pacific/10130909.stm

mickn Posted 24 May, 2010 Share Posted 24 May, 2010 So we are supposed to believe that this torpedo had the power to sink a navy ship but many of its components survived the explosion. If that's the case they should make the ships from the same materials. Strong smell of bullsh1t to me.
Pugwash Posted 24 May, 2010 Share Posted 24 May, 2010 Not unusual for the engine lump to survive the warhead explosion.

JackFrost Posted 24 May, 2010 Share Posted 24 May, 2010 Didn't they think it was an unexploded mine from the Korean war at one point? A mine that would use very similar chemicals to a torpedo
