JackFrost Posted 23 May, 2010 Share Posted 23 May, 2010 What channels are covering the tournament? BBC?ITV?ESPN?SY SPORTS? who has the better coverage ? BBC and ITV always have it don't they? Yes.Just use it as a vehicle to promote and justify the recruitment of the overpaid rubber faced Brummie tw^t Adrian Chiles.. Christ on a bike, how did World Cup tournaments manage before 'B' grade presenters were elevated to such status? (1970 - studio falling apart with Derek Dougan and Bob McNabb as experts p!sses on ITV's present line up).

Which ever terrestial channel it is, you can guarantee it will be 'wall-to-wall' with any semblance of programming cast to the wind, and we'll all be p----d-off by the end of the first week as both channels move into 'over-kill'. The so called 'experts' filling the air-waves with their usual twaddle, and the commentators not knowing their a--- from their elbow while stating the blindingly obvious. All on a dry-run for the Olympics 2012. Hope Sky has some decent movies and doc's, to fill in the spaces between the adverts.
The9 Posted 24 May, 2010 Share Posted 24 May, 2010 Can't wait for the immortal words "and now over to the England camp in Rustenburg" so I'll be able to pop to the loo. I'm quite looking forward to the reactivation of the "David Pleat should never be able to commentate on football EVER" Facebook group I'm a member of as well. doubleonothing Posted 24 May, 2010 Share Posted 24 May, 2010 No Motson,Barry Davies,Coleman...or Wolstenholme, it can't be a real World Cup then can it? Who is the BBC's main commentator? Commentators for the beeb Guy Mowbray,Jonathan Pearce,Steve Wilson,Simon Brotherton and Steve Bower, with co-commentary from Mark Lawrenson, Mark Bright, Mick McCarthy and Martin Keown. Motty in the studio occaisionally but also on the website and the red button Strachan is a studio pundit as well.

Jesus, they might as well re-run the woodentops.McCarthy has the most boring monotone voice going, and the other three dullards are not much better.
