modern matron Posted 22 May, 2010 Author Posted 22 May, 2010 What a fantastic half! When do you see premier league games like that? I love the football league - real football and real fans! I hope Blackpool win but then I wish Dave Jones well. Is it me or there's Saints connections in just about every televised game?

Professor Posted 22 May, 2010 Posted 22 May, 2010 Unfortunately, Blackpool, and Cardiff are fighting for the right to be next season's whipping boys in The Prem, but at least when they come back down they'll have parachute money.
Rory Posted 22 May, 2010 Posted 22 May, 2010 Is that Stephen Crainey playing for Blackpool? DJ Campbell in the Premier League? lol
Jonnyboy Posted 22 May, 2010 Posted 22 May, 2010 I feel sorry for Plymouth, they were doing well til Holloway ****ed off for Mandaric's money, now they are down...
Thedelldays Posted 22 May, 2010 Posted 22 May, 2010 brilliant result..well done to blackpool..holloway is a very good manager..he was one of my wishes to take over here last summer

Legod Third Coming Posted 22 May, 2010 Posted 22 May, 2010 We used to have Brett Ormerod... well done Bretty enjoy another stint at the top table son.
ART Posted 22 May, 2010 Posted 22 May, 2010 Ormerod, Ormerod, Ormerod. Really so happy for Brett. Will really be the crowning glory to his career. Few nicer guys every played for Saints than Brett. Well done Blackpool in getting back to the top League.
doubleonothing Posted 22 May, 2010 Posted 22 May, 2010 Wanted Blackpool to go up. Always amusing to see teams that don't seem like they should be there going up. And it means the Welsh will shut up about Cardiff going up. It's all they've been on about this week. Brett, Euell and Wright (though got a feeling he's been released) going up then.

EastleighSoulBoy Posted 22 May, 2010 Posted 22 May, 2010 Also a thought for a pint sized, squeaky voiced ex player and manager of ours who started his career at Blackpool. A happy day for him as he looked down.
St Landrew Posted 22 May, 2010 Posted 22 May, 2010 Nice to see Blackpool promoted. Now they have a completely new chapter to write in their history books. Not since the 1970's have Blackpool been in with the elite. Off to General Sports. I'll leave a link.

Saint137 Posted 22 May, 2010 Posted 22 May, 2010 Given he was already a God there there really isn't a better player to have taken them to the promised land...
badgerx16 Posted 22 May, 2010 Posted 22 May, 2010 It'll be interesting how Ollie restructures the team, as to be honest, this is a bit of an unexpected outcome, and the squad is weak, even when measured against other previously promoted 'minnows' such as Burnley. He's got Charlie Adam, who is likely to develop into a 'proper' Premiership player, and Brett, who actually has Prem experience, ( though he is slower now as his injuries have taken their toll, and he struggles to last more than 60 minutes ). But the loanees, such as DJ Cambell, Dobbie, and Coleman will go back, ( although I can see Everton loaning Coleman back to them next season ). Also, players such as Ben Burgess and Euell are patently not up to scratch. Still, it will be a real rollercoaster season, and there's nowhere better for rollercoasters than Blackpool ! They have apparently already sold out the planned allocation of season tickets, on the expectation of a Wembley win !
