doggface Posted 21 May, 2010 Posted 21 May, 2010 Hi all, Was told today that Season Ticket Prices are not going to be released until mid June at the earliest, end of June worst case. I am a non season ticket holder so does not effect me directly, but fwiw I think this would be madness. How do you feel about that!
Lets B Avenue Posted 21 May, 2010 Posted 21 May, 2010 Hi all, Was told today that Season Ticket Prices are not going to be released until mid June at the earliest, end of June worst case. I am a non season ticket holder so does not effect me directly, but fwiw I think this would be madness. Saint_clark Posted 21 May, 2010 Posted 21 May, 2010 Madness if true, regardless of how low the prices are.
Colinjb Posted 21 May, 2010 Posted 21 May, 2010 Madness if true, regardless of how low the prices are. This. Although I fear 'how high' may be the better phrasing. I need to know how much I have to budget for the damn thing, this wait is stalling my holiday plans.
doughnutman Posted 21 May, 2010 Posted 21 May, 2010 Perhaps the club are hoping to have made a couple of 'marquee' signings by this point and feel that then more people would buy them??
SaintRichmond Posted 21 May, 2010 Posted 21 May, 2010 These prices better be worth the wait. I doubt it. IMHO they will go UP, not down:cool:
StuRomseySaint Posted 21 May, 2010 Posted 21 May, 2010 Lol They will be on sale on Monday, rumours are that Cortese doesn't want to upset me anymore.
Colinjb Posted 21 May, 2010 Posted 21 May, 2010 Lol They will be on sale on Monday, rumours are that Cortese doesn't want to upset me anymore. Did you threaten to sit on him?
SaintRichmond Posted 21 May, 2010 Posted 21 May, 2010 moan moan moan, drip drip drip NC out ffs Not a moan, just mu OPINION. Something aparantly you cannot have if it's negative Saints now have NO debt, thanks to Leibherr/Cortese. Right from day one, they stated that the Club would be run as a BUSINESS They are INVESTING in the Team, which costs MONEY They will Price the Seats accordingly Not a "moan moan moan"..... an OPINION:cool:
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 21 May, 2010 Posted 21 May, 2010 I'll be very surprised if prices drop notably from last season. Very pleased, bt very surprised.
Arizona Posted 21 May, 2010 Posted 21 May, 2010 Hi all, Was told today that Season Ticket Prices are not going to be released until mid June at the earliest, end of June worst case. I am a non season ticket holder so does not effect me directly, but fwiw I think this would be madness. How do you feel about that! Nothing personal, but as soon as I read this in a post I instantly don't believe it.
JRM Posted 21 May, 2010 Posted 21 May, 2010 key points: 1) by putting the tickets on sale at a later point reduces the selling windows for discounts etc. 2) They have missed their best marketing opportunity to sell / raise awareness of deals they might offer. Close season people not looking at saints website/match programme/stadium announcements. 3) I am off on holiday mid-end June. Bound to end up spending more that i budget for as that 's what happens on holidays, doubt i will bother renewing until i get paid in July.
MarkSFC Posted 21 May, 2010 Posted 21 May, 2010 There's a post on OSFacebook stating that an announcement will be made Monday and STs will go on sale Tuesday....from someone that "appears" to work in or knows someone in the ticket office! Make of that as you will!!!!
Alejam Posted 21 May, 2010 Posted 21 May, 2010 Why are people unable to budget? If people took the credit option last season, and need to again this year, why didn't everyone start putting money away in March, April etc.
Charlie Wayman Posted 21 May, 2010 Posted 21 May, 2010 Really odd! Why keep prices secret, it's always a take it or leave it situation anyway. I suppose they're hoping Pardew will sign a BIG NAME to boost interest and justify increases. Even our great Swiss Rollers must have cottoned on to the fact that we in Engerland are in a recession and soon to be taxed out of existence. Where will the money come from then, old thing? Any rise for the same old s**** in this climate cannot be justified as most of us had a zero inflation award this year. What's that? Inflation is running at 5% do I hear you say.. Just try putting up prices by 5% and reality will kich in big time.
dune Posted 21 May, 2010 Posted 21 May, 2010 It seems very odd that they've left it this late. I reckon this may be because the away fans are to be moved and they've been finalising things - maybe the police consulation dragged things out?

dune Posted 21 May, 2010 Posted 21 May, 2010 think the OB have already said no move Nicola Cortese strikes me as man that won't take "no" for an answer. There has to be a reason for the delay because the club wouldn't delay otherwise.
Clifford Nelson Posted 21 May, 2010 Posted 21 May, 2010 The reason that season tickets used to be available early with discounts was that the club was desperate for money. This is no longer the case, so there is no reason to rush things. It's good news in itself that. A rumour doing the rounds is that the season tickets will cost £125 to celebrate the anniversary. I don't believe it myself, and I haven't got a good source for it either, but what the heck, one can always dream.
JustMike Posted 21 May, 2010 Posted 21 May, 2010 What a bunch of moaning women! now that, coming from you, is priceless

Just try putting up prices by 5% and reality will kich in big time. I doubt the prices will change, could even be giving season ticket holders that bit more time to get the money together. It's only to the fans advantage leaving the season tickets late, what ever the price. Most clubs are so desperate for revenue, you normally would not see this.

I would suggest you look into the licencing of stadia.

Chez Posted 21 May, 2010 Posted 21 May, 2010 not bothered at all that prices have not been released. I'm more concerned about the price than when I'm told about the price. I'm quite glad that the old season is well and truely out the way before I start thinking about the new one.
saint_mears Posted 21 May, 2010 Posted 21 May, 2010 I imagine we are the only club in the country not selling season tickets at the moment.

Thedelldays Posted 22 May, 2010 Posted 22 May, 2010 what is wrong with that stan..? are they wrong..?
SET Posted 22 May, 2010 Posted 22 May, 2010 Couple of mates going to Africa for the whole world cup, they are worried they will miss the renewal deadlines now, they thought they would have renewed by now.
Thedelldays Posted 22 May, 2010 Posted 22 May, 2010 Couple of mates going to Africa for the whole world cup, they are worried they will miss the renewal deadlines now, they thought they would have renewed by now. they could have left their money with you..?
StuRomseySaint Posted 22 May, 2010 Posted 22 May, 2010 they could have left their money with you..? How much should they leave? What if they want to pay on credit card etc... or maybe pay on installments... You really are a **** sometimes... and a non-season ticket holding one so why are you commenting on this thread exactly?
NickG Posted 22 May, 2010 Posted 22 May, 2010 if they pay on credit card they could leave you the details or phone in, or write to the club.....or moan!

You really are a **** sometimes... and a non-season ticket holding one so why are you commenting on this thread exactly? maybe leave an open cheque.? I go away for months on end without any contact what so ever with anyone in the outside world..it really is not hard to deal with bills/pay for things when you are gone seeing as these people are probably on the other end of the phone and WANT to pay for their season tickets..what is the problem in leaving a blank cheque...or even in this crazy world of technology, transfer money into their mates account...!!!!!
Junction 9 Posted 22 May, 2010 Posted 22 May, 2010 For every argument on here saying "why can't people budget" etc surely there is an equally good argument to state why can't the club release the prices? What's the reason for it? Why the delay? It hasn't happened any other year so why now? This is poor service from the club if you ask me in a time when things are supposed to be improving.
Saint Mikey Posted 22 May, 2010 Posted 22 May, 2010 There's a comment on that Echo article that someone emailed the Ticket Office, who replied stating details would be released on Mon. So, looks like the long wait will soon be over. I, for one, will be glad when this long embarassing saga can be put behind us and we can all look forward to next season.
Thedelldays Posted 22 May, 2010 Posted 22 May, 2010 I will laugh if they hike the prices. well....something has to pay for the lavish spending..
krissyboy31 Posted 22 May, 2010 Posted 22 May, 2010 Why are people getting so hot under the collar about this. Although we've finished playing the official end of the season isn't until June 1st. We no longer need to get money in to fill the shortfall between one season, to the other and the season's budgeting is no longer robbing Peter to pay Paul. It is NOT embarrassing and it is NOT bad Customer Service because as yet, there is NO product to sell!

Whilst I would prefer to have my season ticket on order by now, i'm not too fussed because I know I will get one.
Thedelldays Posted 22 May, 2010 Posted 22 May, 2010 when did they go on sale last season..? July..? did not cause much of a problem to shift 12k
