TopGun Posted 20 May, 2010 Share Posted 20 May, 2010 (edited) No, they don't. I hope your cat is ok! One of mine got clipped by a car last year and big cash was spent on a vet's bill. Not fun although fine in the end. I suspect your outcome is not so good. Edited 20 May, 2010 by TopGun

Colinjb Posted 20 May, 2010 Author Share Posted 20 May, 2010 Cheers for the thoughts guys but Topgun, you read the situation well. My youngest cat was gone when I got to her, totally gone. Poor thing was only 19 months old.
miserableoldgit Posted 20 May, 2010 Share Posted 20 May, 2010 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ka2fffbZMzs This is not meant as a ****-take. Genuinely sorry for you. I am not particularly a cat person but I know from experience what it is like when something happens to one of my labradors.
Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 20 May, 2010 Share Posted 20 May, 2010 My fiance's friend's cat got hit by a train once and survived, they're well hard!
spyinthesky Posted 20 May, 2010 Share Posted 20 May, 2010 Unfortunately I ran over a cat once, whilst observing the speed limit. Had little chance to avoid a collision as the cat came storming out from inside a hedge. Because I was only going 30mph the cat was injured not despatched. I stopped to see what could be done and got assailed by a woman and her scabby kids, who brought bystanders in to have a go. All my fault apparently. Fortunately the local postal delivery woman, who actually witnessed the incident, spoke up for me and this helped to some extent Would be loath to stop and offer assistance again after this experience!!
