Newzbin dead

Seems the MPA finally got their way, but Newzbin also had mounting debts.

People now seem to be switching to nzbmatrix. Any other old newzbin members on here? (I know there's 1 or 2 cos I gave you accounts!).

Yeah - I was a newzbin user - its a shame its gone the way it has. NZBMatrix is the place now. New ones will constantly spring up. NZBMatrix need to improve their rss feeds though. TVNZB has also gone.

im using nzbindex now, if you know what you want, its great, but its not "browseable" like newzbin was, which was part of the fun.

 

There are pretty strong rumours that the newzbin database and source code has been "leaked"/"hacked", this has been confirmed by the "hacker" releasing some of the leaked code to the original authors, who have said its genuine. I would expect to see quite a few clones of newzbin popping up all over the place.

Hi ex-Newzbin user.

 

Lamenting the departed site? Dreading doing Usenet the old skool

way? Think the clone NZB sites suck?

 

Good news: we are Newzbin Two, and we have glad tidings:

NEWZBIN IS BACK! and we are the new management. The crew got most

of the original Newzbin source code and the main databases.

We loved it too much to let it die.

 

The catch? We wont be up for a very short while cos things need

to be done. For starters we need a cool domain name; also we

need to hack on the code some more to make it run. We are nearly

there but it is very complicated. We reckon we'll up very soon.

 

So don't drift off to those lame-ass wannabe NZB sites. Hang on

for a little longer and the Big Dog will be back.
