Right, me and some mates (4 other lads) want to go somewhere "different" on holiday next year instead of the European p1ss ups. We are looking into Thailand so just wondering if there is any opinions of where the best place to go is for 5 lads (decent nightlife a neccesity)??

I went with a few mates to Kranjska Gora in Slovenia. We went snowboarding at the end of Jan, early Feb. Twas amazing. Its something different too.

Bangkok is quite likely I suppose, but we haven't ruled out other areas. That's the main reason I asked on here really, to see if there are any other ideas apart from Bangkok.

Ah I see. Well my knowledge of Thailand is as far as knowing Bangkok is a place within Thailand and it is where the Beach was filmed. Looks nice though

For a 'lads' holiday you need to be heading to kho phan ngan is a great place. Full moon parties etc... good giggle.

Do 2 nights in Bangkok (thats more than enough) and get an internal flight down to Koh Samui and stay in Chaweng Beach.

 

Its Ibiza in Thailand basically. Not eveyones cup of tea but good for a group of lads. Can easilly do the FMP from there.

Pattaya is fun, Koh Samui has some amazing beaches and plenty of nightlife too. Definitely do a couple of days in Bangok if you are going though, there are no other cities like it in the world.

Now now, Tiggs. Anywhere that sounds vaguely foreign is some people's idea of different.

Make sure you take plenty of drugs with you as they are quite hard to find when over there, although heroin is cheap and easily available.

Try and get 3 weeks at least is my advice and go to all the southern islands if you're after a beery but also excellent holiday.

 

3 nights in Bangkok is enough (3 minutes is enough for some people although I liked it!)

 

If you decide Bangkok isn't seedy enough for you, go to Pattaya.

Go to Phuket it has everything you need there.

Avoid Pattaya, it reminds me of a giant open air sex shop, and Bangkok is like Luton.
