saint_stevo Posted 13 May, 2010 Posted 13 May, 2010 not to have to read RedAndWhite91's political tweets
1976_Child Posted 13 May, 2010 Posted 13 May, 2010 Food/beer cards. The idea being you charge them up - from machines on the walls or online or via ticket office - and then come halftime you order food and just swipe card. I reckon each cash-based transaction takes about 15 seconds to deal with. Would save a bunch of time. Also, as I have been bleating on and on for years now, do we really need to have Premiership football clubs advertised in our ground and on our website? It really hacks me off when I go for a slash at half-time and in front of me is an advert with Wayne Rooney, Gerrard et al staring back at me. I know they are generic adverts for football on TV but it still gets on my tits.
Appy Posted 13 May, 2010 Posted 13 May, 2010 Rickie to score more goals from 40+ yards. Only 1 this season was slacking. Pardew Out.
RedAndWhite91 Posted 13 May, 2010 Posted 13 May, 2010 not to have to read RedAndWhite91's political tweets +1.
No 2 to Maybush Posted 13 May, 2010 Posted 13 May, 2010 Change the pictures of Fans in the concourses back to Saints Legends.
Appy Posted 13 May, 2010 Posted 13 May, 2010 Change the pictures of Fans in the concourses back to Saints Legends. Noooo. One of them shows a 13 year old me.
Tokyo-Saint Posted 13 May, 2010 Posted 13 May, 2010 Cheaper tickets for less attractve matches. Let's face it the only way to sell out agianst some teams would be £10 per ticket. Dicounted train travel for fans who live further a field. They have a deal with local bus companies, why not do one with southern trains. Why do toilets have a door big enough for one person to enter at a time? Wh have a door? Just have a wall with a wall further behind ala MK Dons and every stadium and station in japan. Pre buy your pint/pie when you buy your ticket, then have pick up points, where you just exchange a voucher. Saturday season tickets, I would buy one of these. Can't get to mid week games due to work. Police dog teams at half time! Sort out the PA system. We don't need music at points like laps of honour. Electronic turnstyles. Not judging peoples support on the ability to get to one match. One JPT semi final ticket should give you more right to go to the final than say 10 away league tickets.
Pilchards Posted 13 May, 2010 Posted 13 May, 2010 More adverts on the big screen when we get a corner plus I love the idea of a drum section.
Kenilworthy Posted 13 May, 2010 Posted 13 May, 2010 Show action replays of goals on the big screens. Scrap all forms of pre-match entertainment and show the live SKY game on the big screens instead like they do at Leeds and Crystal Palace.
benjii Posted 13 May, 2010 Posted 13 May, 2010 Arizona - carp idea mate, give it up. A Saturday ST, however, would be a good idea.
ladysaint Posted 13 May, 2010 Author Posted 13 May, 2010 I have said about a Saturday season ticket before and have today on another thread, I really think this would be an excellent idea and hope the club think about it.
Tokyo-Saint Posted 13 May, 2010 Posted 13 May, 2010 Sorry for typos, bloody iPhone. That should read "should give you more right", plus others I can't be bothered to correct.
Barry the Badger Posted 13 May, 2010 Posted 13 May, 2010 show the live SKY game on the big screens instead like they do at Leeds and Crystal Palace. Didn't we used to have Sky, before we got into financial trouble? This would be good and I would be much more likely to head to the ground earlier if the beer was good and there was football on.
Arizona Posted 13 May, 2010 Posted 13 May, 2010 Arizona - carp idea mate, give it up. A Saturday ST, however, would be a good idea. For you maybe. For me it would be an enormous help.
Sour Mash Posted 13 May, 2010 Posted 13 May, 2010 Food/beer cards. The idea being you charge them up - from machines on the walls or online or via ticket office - and then come halftime you order food and just swipe card. I reckon each cash-based transaction takes about 15 seconds to deal with. Would save a bunch of time. This would definitely make the club a lot more money.
Chez Posted 13 May, 2010 Posted 13 May, 2010 (edited) Open blocks 1-3 in the Itchen immediately, not half way through the season. Fix the faults in the big screens and show much more action from past games/years Add to the charter that goal celebration music will never be allowed and music will be stopped well before kick off. Also add to the charter the banning of mascots now and at any time in the future. Pre match build up will not include a man shouting "come on saints fans lets here you get behind the team one more time" or other cringeworthy ********. Sort PA system out or prerecord the interview. Horrible to not be able to hear a legend speak when they visit. Redesign the whole stadium to enable people at the back of stands to get out in less than ten minutes. How we meet Health & Safety requirements I will never know. Better pies - ones with actual fillings in that you don't need an asbestos mouth to eat Bring back the pizza giveaway competition at half time. Other competions on website to include prizes such as sit in the dug-out. A box for 10 mates. Stop these terrible half time its a knockout games. All that is required is a penalty competion between a fan from both sides, or if a junior side is on the pitch, then spilt them in half to represent the home and away teams. No need for any `clever' ********. Speed up the beer dispensing/selling. Food counters are far too slow as well. Who is monitoring this? Prices are high and Burgers are always cold. In this day and age there is no reason to put up with this. Edited 13 May, 2010 by Chez
benjii Posted 13 May, 2010 Posted 13 May, 2010 For you maybe. For me it would be an enormous help. I'm not doubting that but it would be a logistic and commercial nonsense.
the saint in winchester Posted 13 May, 2010 Posted 13 May, 2010 I have said about a Saturday season ticket before and have today on another thread, I really think this would be an excellent idea and hope the club think about it. I agree. Or, I'm happy to share a ST with the bloke who wants to play footie on Saturdays and wants to go to midweek games only.
Gambol2K9 Posted 13 May, 2010 Posted 13 May, 2010 Cheerleaders at half time rather than some obese kid who gets bullied at school running with a giant inflatable ball and missing an open goal from 5 yards Haha that's brilliant, I completely agree! :smt038
SNSUN Posted 13 May, 2010 Posted 13 May, 2010 - Allow smoking area at half time for Home fans. +1, or at least let us sneak outside for a quicky. I also nominate you, SRS, to wear an Elvis costume to get the crowd going, a la Carlisle in the JPT final. ;-)
fish fingers Posted 13 May, 2010 Posted 13 May, 2010 More Mexican waves!!! For that comment you can go and sit in the drum section.
Saint_Mabes Posted 13 May, 2010 Posted 13 May, 2010 Haha! I can't help it - i'm like an excitable child after a few pints!
Griffo Posted 13 May, 2010 Posted 13 May, 2010 (edited) Atmosphere wise, one person banging the backboard in time, and someone 'ard in the Northam to tell the other scrotes banging it to STFU. OWTS slow for two rounds and the Woolston Ferry to get sung more. Oh yes, and open blocks 1-3!!! Edited 13 May, 2010 by Griffo
fish fingers Posted 13 May, 2010 Posted 13 May, 2010 Stu Romsey to stand at the front of the stand with a megaphone and direct the songs.

What about cheaper tickets for less attractive fans? Oh, and bring back the Albion band...
gogo_saint Posted 13 May, 2010 Posted 13 May, 2010 As good as it would be there is no way of doing a fair Saturday only ST. When we get to the finals of the league cup, JPT and FA cup we'll have to move loads of our Saturday games to mid week and that just wouldn't be fair now would it... Move away fans round the corner Get Better Beer and serve it faster PA system is redundant. Fix it, and hook up a mic to Pardew so we can all hear what he's saying!
saintkiptanui Posted 13 May, 2010 Posted 13 May, 2010 That's not what people are singing, its "you fat b@astard", which I agree, should go back to the old, "you're sh1t ahhhhhh" of old if it really has to be done at all! Agree on the barmaids bit though.A horse at Newmarket called sour mash has just won at 25/1.
stmusicdude Posted 13 May, 2010 Posted 13 May, 2010 Fix the leaking roof. Seriously, was sat in the Chapel end for the first time on Saturday and kept getting drops of water landing on my head. I think this might be helped by stopping it from raining .. put a request to NC
Andy_Porter Posted 13 May, 2010 Posted 13 May, 2010 Bring back the plastic season ticket cards. No music for goals or after a win. Get rid of Stuart Dennis, just have someone in a box someone reading out anything important. There doesn't need to be someone pitch side trying to drum up support. Open more bottle bars in the Northam. Get rid of the half time entertainment and instead show highlights from the last couple of games on the big screen or even just show SSN for 20 minutes.
RedArmy Posted 13 May, 2010 Posted 13 May, 2010 Get rid of that pre-match goon, or at least move him to Chapel end so I don't have to see him waving his hands around like a mong.
RedArmy Posted 13 May, 2010 Posted 13 May, 2010 Get rid of the half time entertainment and instead show highlights from the last couple of games on the big screen or even just show SSN for 20 minutes.Just go downstairs and watch SSN.
Andy_Porter Posted 13 May, 2010 Posted 13 May, 2010 Just go downstairs and watch SSN. I do, my point was more to stop wasting money on half time entertainment.
Alan56 Posted 14 May, 2010 Posted 14 May, 2010 Remove Stuart Dennis (is it?) that acts like some poor sod with an affliction prior to the games. A full run down of all the results in leagues 1-2, Championship and Prem along with a sound system that works.
dubai_phil Posted 14 May, 2010 Posted 14 May, 2010 Extend the runway at Eastleigh so that Emirates and others can land there and put a monorail in so us nasty foreigners we can get to the stadium and back on a day trip without having to contaminate the uberfans (or to avoid the traffic & parking problems.) Oh and have Real Ale served in the monorail
harvey Posted 14 May, 2010 Posted 14 May, 2010 Bigger discounts for students. A bit selfish tbf ..................me?, a free bar and someone to escort me to the right seat for the start of the second half :partyman:
krissyboy31 Posted 14 May, 2010 Posted 14 May, 2010 Extend the runway at Eastleigh so that Emirates and others can land there and put a monorail in so us nasty foreigners we can get to the stadium and back on a day trip without having to contaminate the uberfans (or to avoid the traffic & parking problems.) Oh and have Real Ale served in the monorail I heard that this was what Markus was angry about. Not enough progress on airport expansion and monorail construction being held up by green belt nimby's (planned route straight through Wellington training pitches).
saintjinksie Posted 14 May, 2010 Posted 14 May, 2010 Draught cider, 330ml bottles of magners costing £3.20 are gash. Blackthorn is the best option, strongbow is acceptable.
hackedoff Posted 14 May, 2010 Posted 14 May, 2010 Some cheerleaders would be nice...... and not ones that are about ten years old.
doddisalegend Posted 14 May, 2010 Posted 14 May, 2010 Some cheerleaders would be nice...... and not ones that are about ten years old. Yeah that gets my vote something like this would liven up half time:smt055 http://www.dallascowboyscheerleaders.com/squad/squad.cfm
The boy done well Posted 14 May, 2010 Posted 14 May, 2010 1. Real ale; 2. being able to pre-order a drink (as long as the beer/lager's worth bothering to order which it's not at the moment) so that you merely have to collect it at half time; 3. at least one TV in the concourse behind/above the bar which always shows the game until half-time only then switching to Sky Sports-get in the queue at the moment at 38/39 minutes and you miss the rest of the first half plus added time because the TV's located 5/10 yards before you get to the bar and doesn't always show the game anyway; 4. improve the decor and comfort of the concourse areas. They are very basic at the moment.
david in sweden Posted 15 May, 2010 Posted 15 May, 2010 some strikers that can score goals would be nice for once. We had Rickie Lambert on the pitch this season - not enough ? ..you mean you want ...MORE ? HE wants MORE ... (adapted from Oliver Twist by Chas. Dickens.)
SaintRobbie Posted 15 May, 2010 Posted 15 May, 2010 Get rid of the dogs. We need a proper Saints mascot. Who came up with the idea for two dogs? What has that got to do with Saints? what could we have instead?
SaintRobbie Posted 15 May, 2010 Posted 15 May, 2010 I'd like to see beer girls walking round the concourse to ease the beer queues at halftime.
Guest Dark Sotonic Mills Posted 15 May, 2010 Posted 15 May, 2010 I'd like to see beer girls walking round the concourse to ease the beer queues at halftime. Would they have to be Japanese though?
