Johnny Bognor Posted 11 May, 2010 Share Posted 11 May, 2010 No new job - he'll be Chancellor (gawd 'elp us). If David Cameron = Rupert Lowe of politics, then Georgie boy will be the Peter Storrie of politics. Allegedly. TBF, Brown is the Peter Storrie, bankrupting their respective organisations with crippling debts.
Wes Tender Posted 11 May, 2010 Share Posted 11 May, 2010 You do realize we are now ruled by people straight from the playing fields of Eton! Quite literally. Both Cameron and Clegg went to Eton and both were members of the Bullingdon Club at Oxford! The ruling class has returned! No. Clegg was Westminster and Cambridge. Equally as privileged educationally though. And equally could be classed as a toff by those bigots who believe that our leaders should be educated at their local comprehensive. Not many are, strangely.

I shouldn't imagine many of our new leaders were.

Robinson college though, not a 'real' one, the grass hasn't grown yet.
TopGun Posted 12 May, 2010 Share Posted 12 May, 2010 I didn't vote Conservatives, but he/they have been voted in, so good luck to you and your party - you'll bl**dy well need it. I agree. DC deserves a chance with his coalition. And he has a tough task. I didn't vote for the Tories but they are the government and I wish him well for the moment. hypochondriac Posted 12 May, 2010 Share Posted 12 May, 2010 Well done TopGun. That's what politics should be all about IMO.
LVSaint Posted 12 May, 2010 Share Posted 12 May, 2010 Not really bothered anymore. Tories would not have got my vote but maybe a complete fresh start is good. The current incarnation of 'Labour' is so lame...maybe they can go back to the drawing board and remember who they are.
